WELCOME PARTY
PokerStars is hosting a Welcome Party for the PCA in the Imperial Ballroom from 7.30pm-9pm on January 4, 2008. All PokerStars qualifiers, their guests and accredited media are welcome to join us.

HOW TO ENTER
Players can pay cash (US dollars only) in person only up until cards are in the air on the day of the second flight, depending on availability.

    NB The last two days of the PCA main event (9-10 January, 2008), including the final table, will be played eight handed, as with all official EPT events.

    Management reserves the right to cancel or alter this event at its sole discretion and without prior notice. The tournament will played with non-value tournament chips.

    Schedule of play:

    Day 1a: A minimum of 6 levels will be played and play is scheduled to conclude at approximately 8:45pm. However, play will continue until the field is reduced to 290 players.
    Day 1b: As Day 1a.
    Day 2: 6 levels will be played and play will conclude at approximately 8:45 pm.
    Day 3: Play down to approximately 36 players.
    Day 4: Play down to 8 players.
    Day 5: The final table.

    Cap:
    Seating is limited to 1,200 players. (600 on Day 1a & 600 on Day 1b). Management reserves the right to increase or to decrease seating and to allow late entries and/or alternates.

    Breaks:
    Break: 15 minute break after each level on Days 1-4.
    Dinner Breaks: There will be no dinner break on Day 1A, Day 1B, or Day 2. If play exceeds 6 levels on Day 3 or Day 4 a dinner break will be given.

    PAYOUT

  • Approximately 10% of the field will be paid. The number of places to be paid and the prize amounts will be announced after the close of registration.
  • Each winner will be issued a maximum of $8,000 in cash. All other funds will be credited to your PokerStars account.
  • 3% of the prize pool will be withheld for tournament staff.

  • Seating is limited and it will be set based on staffing and table availability.
  • 10 minute break every 4 levels during the $500 events.
  • 10 minute break every 3 levels during the $1,000 and $2,000 events.
  • 10 minute break every 2 levels during the $3,000 event.
  • 60 minute dinner break at approximately 9pm during the 1pm events only.
  • Each event will be played until its conclusion or until approximately 4am. Events that run past 4am will resume play on the following day.
  • 3% of each prize pool will be withheld for tournament staff.
  • Management reserves the right to cancel, suspend or modify events at its sole discretion and without prior notice.
  • Management reserves the right to extend registration and to allow or to disallow late entries and/or alternates.

    CASH GAMES / SIT AND GO TOURNAMENTS

    A wide range of cash games and Sit and Go tournaments will be available for players. These will start on January 4 - (times to be confirmed) and from approximately 4pm on Days 1a/1b (January 5/6). All times are subject to space restrictions depending on how many players are still in the main event or other secondary tournaments.

    Sit and Go tournaments will start from $50 buy-in (+$5) and cash games will be available at a range of limits.
