The PokerStars European Poker Tour is world's richest and most popular poker tour. Since 2004 the EPT has staged eight hugely successful seasons that have spanned the continent.
Season 8 again features tournaments right across Europe as well as spectacular 'Festivals of Poker' such as EPT London, the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure and the EPT Grand Final. New to the schedule for Season 8 are stops in Loutraki in Greece, Campione in Italy, and for the first time ever, a regular season stop in the Spanish capital Madrid. There are also welcome returns to classic EPT destinations such as Prague and Copenhagen.
Season 7 was a massive success with many events enjoying bigger fields than ever before. The season's showpiece tournament - the €10,000 EPT Grand Final in Madrid - attracted 686 players with a prize pool of €6,860,000 million. The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure was the richest tournament ever held outside of Las Vegas - a record-breaking 1,560 entrants creating a $15 million prize pool paid out to 232 players. The total prize pool for EPT Season 7 was more than €50 million created by nearly 9,000 Main Event players.
Many EPT events are filmed for television and the show is broadcast throughout the world. The final table of Season 7's Grand Final made TV history, being filmed 'as live' with hole cards revealed and shown In simultaneous broadcasts on TV channels across Europe as well as in Russia and Canada.

Edgar Stuchly has almost 20 years experience in the poker industry, most recently with Casinos Austria, where he was Head of Poker for four years. In his time there he managed European Poker Championships, and founded the Casinos Austria Poker Tour (CAPT). In 2009 he was also recognised as ‘Poker Staff Person of the Year’ for his contributions to the live poker industry in Europe. Edgar is the official spokesperson for the EPT, helping refine the vision for the tour, improve the customer experience for participating players, and grow the brand across Europe.
