EPT Prague

The EPT is heading back to Prague for a fourth time this winter with a five-day €5,300 event from December 13-18, 2010.  Christmas is the perfect time to visit this stunning city with its famed Yuletide markets featuring gingerbread and hot wine stalls creating a great atmosphere. Last season the popular event attracted a massive 584 players making it the biggest poker tournament ever held in the Czech Republic, with a record first prize of €682,000.

Local student Jan Skampa, already celebrating back to back finals after finishing fourth in Vilamoura, won on home soil to become the first ever Czech EPT champion. He was up against some heavy-weight finalists including Swedish star Stefan Mattsson, French pro Anthony Roux and Team PokerStars Pro Luca Pagano, who broke his own EPT records at the event by reaching a sixth EPT final table and 13th EPT cash. Team PokerStars Pros Marcin Horecki, Pieter de Korver, Florian Langmann and former winner Arnaud Mattern also all cashed.
