Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure

POKERSTARS CARIBBEAN ADVENTURE

The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) 2012 is set to be the biggest poker festival outside Las Vegas with dozens of events taking place across ten days in early January 2012.

It will follow a phenomenally successful 2011 PCA - a poker extravaganza featuring 48 events and attracting more than 7,800 entries. The total amount awarded in prize money over the whole Festival topped $32 million. A record 1,560 entrants from 65 countries took part in the $10,000 Main Event creating a total prize pool of $15,132,000. Galen Hall beat fellow American PokerStars qualifier Chris Oliver to win $2.3 million, the biggest payout of Season 7.

Satellites for this season's PCA are running already and several players have already won seats for just a few Frequent Player Points. Last season PokerStars ran thousands of satellites in the months leading up to the PCA with 734 players winning their $15k trip to the Caribbean online.

The Season 8 Main Event promises to be even more exciting than ever before and will be running in early January at Atlantis Resort & Casino.
