The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) 2011 is set to be the biggest poker festival outside Las Vegas with dozens of events taking place across ten days in early January 2011.
It will follow a phenomenally successful 2010 PCA - a poker extravaganza featuring 50 events and record numbers of players. A total of 1,529 entrants from 57 countries took part in the $10,000 Main Event creating a total prize pool of $14,831,300. Harrison Gimbel, 19, became the event’s youngest ever champion when he beat fellow American online pro Tyler Reiman to win $2.2 million, the biggest payout of Season 6. PokerStars ran thousands of satellites in the months leading up to the PCA with 741 players winning their $15k trip to the Caribbean online. The event also attracted more than 150 media - from TV stations, radio, newspapers and websites around the world.
The Season 7 event promises to be even more exciting than ever before and will run January 7 - 16, 2011 at Atlantis Resort & Casino.
