The PokerStars.com European Poker Tour London Poker Festival runs from September 30 - October 7, 2009 at the Hilton Metropole Hotel. The event will be the biggest EPT ever held with 16 events including the three-day EPT London £20k High Roller, the £5k EPT London Main Event and the first-ever £2k European 8-Game Championship as well as a £500 8-Game event, a £1k Pot Limit Omaha High-Low event, a £1k No Limit 6-Max event and a £2k PLO event. The festival follows the two-week European Poker Championships being held at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino, and will once again cement London’s reputation as the poker capital of Europe this autumn.

Last year’s EPT London main event attracted a staggering 596-strong field including 115 PokerStars qualifiiers. American Michael Martin won £1 million after staging a remarkable comeback from just over one big blind. The ₤20k High Roller event was won by Jason Mercier, now a member of Team PokerStars Pro, against pros such as John Juanda, Scotty Nguyen, Daniel Negreanu and Gus Hansen.

EPT LONDON POKER FESTIVAL VENUES

The EPT London Poker Festival main event, all side events and most Sit & Go's will take place at the Hilton. The European Championships (which take place prior to the EPT) and all cash games will take place at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino.

You may buy in to all EPT events (except the super satellite to the main event) online at PokerStars from September 23 until three hours before the selected event. If you don’t have an account, please download the free PokerStars software by clicking here. Please note: you will be a considered a PokerStars sponsored player throughout the event if you buy in online using your account.

Registration will be available at the Hilton from noon, or for two hours beforehand for later events. Support staff will be on hand to enable you to buy in direct from your PokerStars account.

No cash payments will be accepted at the Hilton Metropole so players wishing to pay for entry into tournaments must first deposit funds at the Grosvenor Victoria casino and have their electronic cash/membership card activated. Please ensure you do this at your earliest convenience to avoid any delays.

WELCOME PARTY

PokerStars is hosting a spectacular welcome party for the EPT London Poker Festival. The party takes place from 9pm to 1am on Thursday, October 1 - the eve of the EPT London main event  - at Cafe De Paris, Coventry Street, London (near Leicester Square). All EPT players and media are invited; all PokerStars players will get priority access 9.00 - 9.45pm.

Entertainment will include magicians, giveaways and polaroid photographers.

EPT LONDON LADIES EVENT

The EPT London Ladies Event is restricted to female participants only. The EPT discerns gender based on sex classification within official government identification (passport or drivers license). Freeroll prizes cannot be transferred, refunded or exchanged. The decisions of the Tournament Director are final.
