EPT Copenhagen

The EPT has never missed a season in Copenhagen – proof, as if any were needed – that Nordic players really love to play poker. This season the DKK 37,250 event is running from February 21 -26 at Casino Copenhagen and, as always, is certain to attract hundreds of pros from all over the Nordic region and beyond.

The event isn’t always won by a Nordic player but it was in Season 6 with young pro Anton Wigg achieving a career-best win and taking €494,000 back home to Sweden. Wigg topped that accomplishment up with an extra €20,000 for finishing 99th at the EPT Grand Final. EPT Copenhagen also brought a nice payday for Danish PokerStars qualifier Morten Guldhammer, an unpredictable but entertaining player who won his seat to EPT Copenhagen for just $1 and turned the investment into €57,100 after finishing seventh – a welcome supplement to his main salary as a car mechanic.
