Aged 19, Frenchman Abdulaziz Abdulaziz is the youngest player to make an EPT final table. Abdulaziz is currently studying mathematics at the Dauphin University in Paris.

Barny Boatman
Barny Boatman is one of the best-known poker players in the UK . A member of the Hendon Mob, Barny is a superb no limit hold'em player and was rated Europe's best stud player in 2002.

Noah Boeken - Copenhagen EPT winner
Confident young gun Dutchman from Amsterdam, well-known by his online tag "Exclusive." While better known as an online star, in the past couple of years Boeken has exploded onto the live poker scene, cashing for hundreds of thousands of dollars, making final tables on two contintents, and winning the EPT Scandinavian Open in 2005.

Justin Bonomo
Bonomo, not yet of legal gambling age in the United States, took a hiatus from his college work to attack the online and European poker scene. The one-time University of Virginia student now plays online and at a variety of European events. Bonomo took third place in Deauville during Season 1 of the EPT.

Patrick Bruel
French singer/actor is often seen at the Aviation Club in Paris. Bruel has an excellent reputation as a poker player and won a WSOP Limit Hold'em bracelet in 1998.

Garry "The Whacker" Bush
Top British tournament player. Gary won Birmingham's Pot Limit Hold'em championship in 2001, came 2nd in the 2001 European rankings and again in 2002, when he was named European Player of the Year.

David Clayton
Clayton, a Thai boxing enthusiast, was a software developer until his success in online cash games persuaded him to take a six months' sabbatical to concentrate on poker. A product of the Blackpool poker circuit, he made his first EPT final appearance in the EPT event in Vienna.

Norwegian player from Bergen. While a long-time online player, Cooper had never cashed in a major live tournament until making the final table at the Scandinavian Open in Copenhagen..

Robert Cooper
London-based businessman who only learned the game in 2004 from his workmates. Cooper now travels Europe in his spare time looking for high stakes tournament action.

Bob Coombes
Former software engineer from Aldershot, Surrey, who now plays poker fulltime.

John Coughlan
A builder by trade, this likeable amateur from Cork, Ireland, is a newcomer to live poker events. John, 48, says: "I learned poker the hard way - by losing money!"

Baard Dahl
Successful online player from Oslo, Norway, who has enjoyed a successful transfer to live tournament action. Baard has represented Norway at chess and bridge.

Sean Donaldson
A 43-year-old farmer from County Armagh, Sean had been playing poker for ten years before making his first appearance at the final table of a major tournament in 2004. He describes his style of play as 'lucky'.

Jamie, 29, works in the financial sector in Dublin. His best result ever is $650 for finishing 4th in a No Limit Hold'em tournament on PokerStars.com. "I like to be cautious," says Jamie.

John Falconer
'Burnley' John, a graduate of the Blackpool poker circuit, is enjoying a fantastic year in live tournaments. The former builder from Lancashire has been chasing the money in the Dublin, Barcelona and the Bahamas with considerable success. Has recently crowned his London and Dublin EPT successes by reaching the semi-finals of the World Heads-Up Competition in Barcelona

Romain Feriolo
Born in Marseilles, France, Romain only learned to play poker a year ago but has been playing rummy since childhood. He travelled to Monte Carlo with his wife Nathalie, also a keen poker player.

Ben Grundy
Dubbed the "Milky Bar Kid" for his youthful looks, likeable Welshman Ben (27) recently decided to give up his IT business to become a full time pro.

Gus Hansen
Hansen, a superstar of the modern game, has a record three WPT titles to his credit. The flamboyant Dane is currently resident in Monte Carlo - when he's not playing high stakes in Las Vegas.

Andreas Harnemo
31-year-old Harnemo, from Lulea in Sweden, lives nearer the Arctic Circle than his nearest casino - hence most of his experience has been playing online.

Rob Hollink - Monte Carlo EPT Grand Final
Rob has made countless final tables on the European poker circuit but until 2005 had yet to win the prestigious title his talent deserves. He is highly regarded by his peers: "Rob is your future EPT champion," fellow Dutchman Marcel Luske predicted, and he was right. Hollink won the EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo..

John Kabbaj
Highly experienced British player. Had a great 2004: won the €2,000 No Limit Holdem event in Paris and came 2nd in the $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em tourney at the WSOP in Las Vegas.

Yevgeny Kafelnikov
Former World No 1 tennis player who now dedicates his time to Poker. He even hired fellow Russian pro Kirill Gerasimov to be his personal coach. Kafelnikov came 6th in the 2004 PokerStars.com WCOOP championship last year.

Eirik Kolaas
The freshfaced Norwegian reached the final table at the Copenhagen EPT thanks to some audacious bluffs. Eirik, an online bandit from Stavangar, looks well capable of handling the switch from online to live action.

Rory Liffey
Originally from County Offaly in central Ireland, the 34-year-old Liffey is now based in London. He prefers cash action to online, and is a regular face on the European circuit.

Marcel Luske
Charismatic charmer, impeccable dresser and undisputed star of the European poker scene, Luske was rated the #1 player in Europe in both 2001 and 2003, and finished 10th at the 2004 World Series of Poker. From Amsterdam, Holland.

George McKeever
Respect businessman from Northern Ireland, McKeever has been playing high stakes poker for decades. He made the final table at WSOP in 1999.

Isabelle Mercier
Isabelle earned her nickname 'No Mercy' after running over the final table at the Ladies WPT final. The 29-year-old French Canadian, formerly manager of the Aviation Club in Paris, was the highest placed woman at the WPT Grand Final in May.

Carl Olson
22-year-old biology graduate from Seattle who has now turned pro. Invited best friend Brandon Schaefer along to Deauville after qualifying online through PokerStars.com - Schaefer then qualified independently and beat him in final heads-up showdown.

Luca Pagano
Rising star of the European Circuit and highly successful PokerStars.com online player - has cashed out more than $500,000 in the last two years. Friendly and charming Italian with a natty line in cool leather jackets.

Dan Pedersen
One of the great Danish players to appear on the European scene in 2005, Pedersen took seventh place in the Scandinavian Open during Season One of the EPT.

Pascal Perrault
Parisien Pascal was the top poker pro in Europe in 2000 but took a protracted break following the birth of his daughter 'Vegas'. He recently cemented his come-back by reaching the quarter-finals of the World Heads-Up Championship and winning the Season 1 EPT event in Vienna.

Andreas Pournaras
48-year-old Greek publisher, amateur player who goes to a handful of live European tournaments. "I play for fun, not the money," says Andreas.

Mika Puro
Mika, 36, from Finland, used to run the Casio Rey Casino in Helsinki but turned pro a few years ago. He finished third in the €800 rebuy event at the Amsterdam Masters Classic and made the final table in the EPT event in Vienna.

Tim Ramsey
After busting out of his last tournament - the WPT Bahamas - in just 30 minutes, genial Ramsey was thrilled to reach the final table of the Vienna EPT. Ramsey, 35, works for a large pharmaceutical firm in Indianapolis, Indiana, and was playing in Europe for the first time when he made the final table in Vienna.

Stefan Rapp
Professional table tennis player from Linz, Austria. Stefan only flew to Spain after a knee injury meant he had to give the table tennis a break.

Greg Raymer
"The Fossilman" won the 2004 WSOP (and $5,000,000) after qualifying on PokerStars.com. Greg, 39, from Connecticut, has given up his job as a patent attorney and is now playing poker fulltime.

Mark Ristine
PokerStars.com online qualifier, Mark is an insurance salesman who plays a lot of poker on the side. He took third in the EPT event in Deauville, France.

Adam Robak
Comes from Dabrowa Gornicza in the industrial south of Poland. Robak was down to the felt in mid-tournament but he recovered with a "chip and a chair" to make the final table in Barcelona.

Joachim Sanejstra
Attending the Vienna EPT was a bit of a home-coming for 34-year-old Joachim - he worked as a dealer at the Concord Casino for ten years.

Brandon Schaefer - Deauville EPT
Brandon qualified for Deauville EPT by winning a last minute FPP tournament on PokerStars. The 24-year-old from Seattle, Washington, is hoping to start his MBA studies in San Diego later this year.

Josh Schiffman
Schiffman, from Columbus, Georgia, is a second year philosophy student from Duke University. Mostly an online player ('Shifty1' on PokerStars), he had never played in a major live tournament before making the final table in Vienna.

Kevin Seeger
Likeable Californian who qualified online for the Monte Carlo Grand Final. Is a professional "house-husband" - he looks after the kids while his wife goes out to work.

John Shipley - London EPT winner
Top online professional from Solihull. Shipley blew a massive chip lead at the final table of the WSOP $10,000 event in 2002. That sad fact notwithstanding, he went on to win the EPT event in London.

Alexander Stevic - Barcelona EPT winner
Cool young Swede from Gothenburg who is throwing himself into the European circuit this season. Stevic, 29, is currently dating fellow player Cecilia Nordenstam.

Julian Thew
A freelance draughtsman from Nottingham, Julian is making a name for himself through his favourite hobby: poker. As well as a string of money finishes, Julian, 37, hit the jackpot last year with the birth of his son Reuben.

Jeremy Tuckman
Surrey-based owner of a recruitment consultancy. Mainly plays online and says poker is his second job. Previous best result before Deauville was coming 2nd in a $50 tourist tournament in Las Vegas.

Dave 'Devilfish' Ulliott
Britain's best-known poker player, this former jeweler from Hull has won bracelets at the WSOP and WPT, and can also hold a tune on the piano.

Mikhail Ustinov
PokerStars online qualifier. Mikhail is a former club owner from Moscow who recently quit his card room to become a full-time pro.

Ram Vaswani - Dublin EPT winner
Nicknamed 'Crazy Horse', Ram, 30, made three final tables at the 2004 WSOP and has proved himself to be arguably the best tournament player in the UK. "Who's going to finish second?" he asks.

Alan Vinson
A regular at the Victoria Casino in London, Alan, 55, plays most of the major tournaments in the UK. Biggest career win was £78,660 at 2002 British Open.

Mikael Westerlund
Colourful Swede from Gothenburg, Westerlund gave up his salesman job years ago to play poker professionally. Finished 3rd at the 2005 WPT Caribbean Poker Adventure and made the final table at the EPT Scandinavian Open..

Bambos Xanthos
Veteran of the European tournament circuit, this Cypriot player is now based in the UK and is a regular at London's Victoria Casino. Has appeared on Late Night Poker.

Xuyen "Bad Girl" Pham
Irrepressible and highly successful professional player, originally from Hanoi, Vietnam but now Luton based. Biggest career win was £250,000 at 2004 World Poker Championship in Dublin
