FPS 5 Monaco Final Main Event Final Table

Seat 1 - Joseph Mouawad – Lebanon/USA – 3,080,000
Lebanese player Joseph Mouawad first came to fame when he won EPT London in Season 4 for £611,500. Since then he has only played on the tour sporadically but his cashes include making the final of a €2k EPT Barcelona side event for €16,650 last season. Married with three children, the real estate developer from Beirut began playing poker more than 20 years ago but only took Texas Hold’em around two years ago before his London victory when it became popular in Beirut’s casino. He has come to Monaco with his son and some friends and also plans to play some other events during the festival.

Seat 2 - Gilles Silbernagel – 43, France – 3,985,00
Silbernagel is an amateur player but is passionate about poker which he juggles with his day-time job as the head of a building society. The 43-year-old father of three first took up poker in 2008, but the following year had a big score when he was runner-up in a tournament in Switzerland for almost $30,000. Since then, he has won a €500 tourney at the now closed Aviation Club de France as well as the Mini-Estrellas Poker Tour in 2013. Silbernagel returns for the final day in third place – the sole representative from France. His success in making the final seven is already remarkable given that he was down to just 2,000 chips on the first day.

Seat 3 - Sergio Braga, 49, Brazil – 1,380,000
Brazilian Braga is a live cash game specialist, especially PLO and Stud 25/50. Although he will be turning up for the final as the short stack, he is hoping to celebrate his 50th birthday on Monday with a major victory and a second EPT Grand Final trophy to add to his collection. He already has one bit of silverware after winning the Limit Stud tournament on Friday for €4,280. For now, Sergio is is very happy with how it’s going - he said he feels perfectly "in the zone" and intends to remain so as long as possible.

Seat 4 : Pablo Gordillo, 20, Spain – PokerStars qualifier – 5,915,000
Former finance student Pablo "gordiju" Gordillo won his seat for the FPS Monaco Main Event on PokerStars.com via a $215 satellite. The EPT Vienna finalist has a massive chip lead over the other six players in FPS Monaco Main Event and is certainly one of the more experienced players remaining. He finished fourth in Austria last season for €262,150 but earned even more glory online after scoring a remarkable hat-trick in September, winning three major tournaments during a single session: the Sunday Kickoff, the Sunday Storm and The Bigger $55 for a combined haul $101,060. His other big EPT result came last October he finished eighth in the EPT London Main Event for £51,900 Here in the Salle des Etoiles, he has bagged up 7,005,000 at the end of FPS Monaco Day 3 giving him a huge lead over his opponents for the final day.

Seat 5: Luca Moschitta, 25, Italy, PokerStars player – 1,300,000
Luca Moschitta is another celebrated player on the FPS Monaco final table. Hailing from Italy but now living in Malta with his girlfriend Sofia Lovgren, Moschitta was only 19 when, in 2009, he became the youngest Supernova Elite in just eight months. He then became a member of Team PokerStars Pro Online for the next four years – focusing primarily on high stakes heads-up S & G heads-up on PokerStars.it’s highest limits. Like his fellow countryman Dario Minieri, Moschitta bought two Porsches through FPPs gleaned on the site and admits to having accumulated more than 5 million FPPs at PokerStars. He started playing online poker after watching a replay of an EPT Barcelona final table. As soon as he turned 18, he deposited $50 and began studying the game. An EPT regular for many years, Moschitta was the IPT Nova Gorica runner-up in 2012 for €97,000, and then won IPT St. Vincent IPT for €180,000.

Seat 6: Manuel Martinez Solsona, 27, Spain & UK – 3,515,000
Martinez Solsona is an experienced player who has been playing professionally for five years. Now living in London to play online, he is a cash game specialist, mainly Texas Hold’em grinding limits of $3/$6 plus. He also occasionally plays tournaments, like Estrellas Madrid three years ago when he was fifth for nearly €25,000.

Seat 7 - Sebastian Supper, 29, Germany – PokerStars qualifier – 4,445,000
Supper is an amateur player from Munich who has been playing poker for six years. This German student qualified online for €30 for FPS Monaco and came to Monaco with two friends – they also qualified on PokerStars and will be railing him during the final. Supper aims to become a chemistry and geography teacher and plays poker solely for pleasure, mainly MTTs. "I want to play for the title but if I finish second, it will still be a lot of money for me," he said. "I hope my best memory of a poker Final Table will be this one”.

Even though Adrian Mateos is still only 20 years old, he is already #2 in Spain's all-time money list. Mateos won the 2013 WSOP Europe Main Event for exactly €1,000,000 and also took down the Estrellas Madrid Main Event earlier that year. The Spaniard was also outstanding at EPT Deauville, winning a record two turbo events on the very last day of the festival for over €67k combined. Mateos usually travels with his friend and house-mate Sergio Aido – their house in West London must be absolutely crammed with trophies by now. Aido is the UKIPT London champion, UKIPT Galway High Roller winner and also has a WPT title to his name.

Seat 2 - Jose Carlos Garcia, 21, Poland
As his name indicates, Garcia was born in Spain but his mother is Polish and he lives in Poland- making him a leading light in the new wave of talented Polish players who have been tearing up the European Poker Tour in recent years. It all got going when Dominik Panka won the PCA last year, the followed it up with an EPT Deauville High Roller victory last year and third place at last month's EPT Malta. Garcia’s best result came in the LAPT Bahamas Main Event at the PCA in January, when he finished fourth for $119,820. He's guaranteed to eclipse that record. He has another EPT "spade" trophy after taking down the €2k Turbo at EPT Sanremo three years ago and his live cashes already total more than $620k to date. Playing online on PokerStars as "TryToExploit", he has already made nearly $600k with his biggest result coming in March 2014, when he won the Sunday Million for $230,707.

Seat 3 - Markus Ross, 34, Germany
Ross, originally from Germany but now lives in Klagenfurt, Austria. The 35-year-old actually had the kind of introduction to the game most associated with the North American grinders: he learned poker when he was a student at the University of Massachusetts (Umass) in Boston, where he studied business for a year between 2004-05. Ross's room-mates at the time needed an extra player for their drunken low-stakes weekly game and turned to their German visitor. Flash forward a decade and he’s started to make a real impact on the international poker circuit: he cashed $20,580 in January in the PCA Main Event – and here he is in the final eight of the EPT11 Grand Final Main Event, competing for his biggest cash ever: € 1,082,000.

Seat 4 -Muhyedine Fares, 52, Senegal
Muhyedine Fares, who has previously played under the French flag at poker events, is a businessman now on a poker-playing vacation with two friends to Monaco. He plays both hold 'em and Omaha in the Senegalese capital, and is not new to EPTs: he cashed for €21,800 in the EPT10 Grand Final Main Event last year, and finished eighth earlier this week in the €5k NL Turbo 8-handed for €14,200. If this roll continues for Fares, there could be a chance of Senegal getting its own official GPI “all time money list” - not available at the moment! However the Hendon Mob does have results for some 35 Senegalese players.

Seat 5 - Hady El Asmar, 47, Lebanon - PokerStars qualifier
El Asmar, from Beirut, qualified for the EPT11 Grand Final in a €700 satellite on PokerStars and is aiming to follow in the footsteps of his countryman Nicolas Chouity, and become the second Lebanese Grand Final champion. El Asmar is a recreational player, and has been on a massive roller coaster during the whole event. He was lucky to squeeze in to Day 3, and was trailing 96 percent of the field at that stage. With seven players left, he is the current chip leader and already guaranteed a cash worth more than his lifetime tournament winnings to date.

Seat 6 - Ole "wizowizo" Schemion, 22, Germany
Ole Schemion is the reigning EPT Player of the Year and an all-round poker sensation. Born in Berlin, but now living in Vienna, Schemion is 22 years old yet has become a fixture in the biggest games in Europe, amassing live tournament winning of close to $8 million since 2011. Before that, he was an online sensation and, as “wizowizo” on PokerStars, has been destroying the toughest MTT fields since pretty much the moment he picked up a mouse. He has 11 outright tournament victories, including one on the Partouche Poker Tour, an Aria Super High Roller, the Master Classics in Amsterdam, an EPT High Roller and three side events here in 2013. But he has not yet won an EPT Main Event despite a ninth and a fifth place finish in Barcelona and Prague, respectively.

Seat 7, Koichi Nozaki, 39, Japan
Koichi Nozaki is a 39-year-old project manager from Tokyo, Japan, who – like his fellow finalist Fares,– is also on a poker-playing holiday in Monaco. Nozaki has a modest list of live tournament results, and all exclusively from small buy-in events in Asia, but he has taken to his new role in the spotlight with huge enthusiasm and is rapidly becoming a viewers’ favourite on EPTLive.

Seat 8 - Johnny Lodden, 29, Oslo, Norway - Team PokerStars Pro
Lodden took up cards playing Uno with his family before progressing to playing poker for money at school with his friends. By the time he was 20, Johnny had started crushing the cash games on PokerStars, moving up the levels to the highest stakes available. He has been playing EPTs since Season 3 and has been exceptionally consistent in his Main Events results. Over the last five years, he had numerous deep runs and made the final 20 a total of nine times - including eighth place at EPT5 Budapest. However it wasn't until Season 9 when the Norwegian had his first really big EPT success money-wise (and by then he'd already had his first six-figure cash when he finished 27th in the 2010 WSOP Main Event). None of the remaining players at the final table have as much as EPT experience as Lodden, who is now on his way to his 19th Main Event cash. However Lodden still has a tough fight on his hands.

There were 564 players from 60 different countries in the EPT Grand Final Main Event, creating a €5,640,000 prize pool. Antonio Buonanno's successor on the throne will take €1,082,000 along with a title, trophy and a luxury watch from a Swiss brand SLYDE.

EPT Super High Roller Event Final Table

Seat 1: Dzmitry Urbanovich (735,000)

Poland's Dzmitry Urbanovich is quite the talk of the town these days, and he's certainly doing all that he can to make it stay that way. You see, Urbanovich cashed in and final tabled six events at the recent European Poker Tour Malta festival. Of those, he won a record four titles, including the €25,500 High Roller for €572,300.

Now he finds himself at the final table of this EPT Grand Final €100,000 Super High Roller, albeit seventh in chips with some work to do. Nevertheless, Urbanovich made his way to the final eight after skipping Day 1entirely. He was busy in another event and opted to wait to buy in until just before the start of Day 2. He quickly got to work building a stack, and now he's earned the second best live tournament result of his career, with a chance at even more.

Urbanovich is currently third on Poland's all-time money list, but with this result he'll be moving past Marcin Horecki and into second place behind 2014 PCA champion Dominik Panka. If he can manoeuvre his way to the final two in this event, Urbanovich will pass Panka and claim the country's top spot. Urbanovich is also currently third in the EPT Platinum Player of the Year rankings but now guaranteed enough points to take him to the top past Vladimir Troyanovskiy and current leader Davidi Kitai.

With all of the success Urbanovich has found lately, he has a lot of interested eyes watching him. Some want to see if he's just running super hot, while others are already referring to him as the next Ole Schemion. Whatever your view, you can't deny that Urbanovich's success is fun and exciting, and as of right now it doesn't look like he plans on slowing down.

Seat 2: Thomas Muehloecker (2,290,000)

Young Austrian Thomas Muehloecker will enter the final table third in chips, but he's bunched in a trio with Season 9 SHR champion Max Altergott and Erik Seidel who have just about the same amount.

Prior to September 2013, Muehloecker had a handful of cashes in live tournaments, but it wasn't until that year's EPT Barcelona festival that he made a name for himself. The event was the €10,300 High Roller, and Muehloecker was one of the two final players. His opponent? None other than Daniel Negreanu.

In that event, all eyes were on "Kid Poker." Negreanu had a massive chip lead going into heads-up play and it seemed like nothing more than a formality that he would defeat Muehloecker en route to another poker title. Muehloecker had other plans, though, and battled back to earn the €390,700 top prize and more than double his live tournament earnings at the time.

Since then, Muehloecker has continued cashing in big events all over the globe. From different countries in Europe, Las Vegas, and even all the way Down Under in Australia, Muehloecker has put together nearly $1.8 million in earnings and he'll be adding at least another €261,800 to that here. Previously this year, he's cashed in the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event and $25,500 High Roller, the Aussie Millions $25,000 Challenge, and the EPT Malta €10,300 High Roller.

Muehloecker currently ranks No. 1 on Austria's all-time money list and will be widening the gap over Josef Klinger in second place. The only question is, by how much?

Seat 3: Erik Seidel (2,170,000)

Where does one even start with Erik Seidel?

The elder statesman of this final table boasts nearly $22 million in live tournament earnings, 11 cashes in events with a buy-in of €50,000 or higher, eight World Series of Poker gold bracelets, and one World Poker Tour title. He's also ranked fifth on poker's all-time money list and already earned over $1 million this year.

Did we also mention he's a member of the Poker Hall of Fame, too?

Born in New York City in 1959, Seidel always had a gifted mind for games of all kinds. He took up backgammon while in college and soon dropped out to pursue a professional career playing the game. New York’s famous Mayfair Club was like a second home to Seidel, and there he was able to hone his skills against some of the best players around.

Seidel travelled around playing backgammon tournaments for about eight years before making some forays into the stock market. With more and more people indulging in poker at the Mayfair Club, Seidel decided to give it a shot. Poker wasn't his only source of income, though, as Seidel took up a regular job as a stockbroker with much more of a secure income. But, the security of a regular paycheck went out the window in 1987 when the stock market crashed and Seidel lost his job. Luckily, he still had poker, and in 1988 he took second place in the WSOP Main Event for $280,000 to ignite his spectacular career.

It's really of no surprise that Seidel has made his way to this marquee final table, but we can't take away from him just how impressive his accomplishments are time and time again. While many of poker's "older generation" seem to be falling by the wayside, Seidel continues to lock horns with the best young stars in the game and prove that age is certainly no factor for him. He goes into today’s final with
2.17 million in chips.

Seat 4: Igor Kurganov (3,645,000)

There is no soft spot at this final table, and Igor Kurganov is another very tough competitor remaining. Although he's listed as Russian, everyone considers dual-nationality Kurganov a part of "Team Germany." He's also widely considered as one of the most brilliant tournament poker minds out there today, and he can back that up with over $8.2 million in live tournament earnings.

All of those winnings are nice, but it's when you examine them further that you really see just how well Kurganov performs at the European Poker Tour Grand Final. He has six cashes from this festival, with the earliest coming in 2011 when he took second in the €10,300 Turbo High Roller for €123,000 in Madrid. In 2012, he amplified his EPT Grand Final winnings in a big way by capturing the title and first place in the €25,500 High Roller to the tune of €1.08 million.

In Season 9, Kurganov placed 74th in the Main Event for €16,000 and seventh in the €25,500 High Roller for €154,700. He followed those results up last season with two more — first taking third in this event, the €100,000 Super High Roller, for over €1.128 million and then cashing in 52nd place in the Main Event for €24,400.

All told, Kurganov has hauled in over €2.526 million from the EPT Grand Final.

Ranked No. 1 on Russia's all-time money list, Kurganov has cashed for no less than $1.8 million in the past three years. He'll be adding at least €261,800 to his tally in this event, but with the second biggest stack of 3.645 million, it's highly likely he'll finish in the top three and score much more. If anything will serve as his kryptonite, it could be the table draw he will have to deal with on Day 3.

Seated directly to Kurganov's left is defending champion Max Altergott, followed by the tough Fedor Holz. Specifically speaking about Altergott, he's a good friend of Kurganov, so some extra deceptiveness could be needed if Kurganov is going to outfox him. After all, Altergott will have the power of position. But, as Kurganov admitted to PokerNews, he knows how to adjust his play for when he's facing his friends.

Seat 5: Max Altergott (2,215,000)

The second year this event was held, in Season 9 (2013), it was won by a relatively unknown German player who was recording the first live tournament result of his poker career. That player was Max Altergott, an online high-stakes cash-game player, and he won that event for nearly €1.75 million after defeating Jason Mercier in heads-up play.

Since then, Altergott has become a regular in big buy-in poker tournaments, racking up over $3.6 million in live cashes. Of note, he scored a victory in the 2013 World Poker Tour Paris €15,000 High Roller for €181,440 and won the 2014 Aussie Millions $25,000 Challenge for AU$241,785. Altergott also took second in a WPT Alpha8 event for £350,000 in London and has cashed in a couple of ARIA high roller events.

You can regularly find Altergott hanging around with several other members of "Team Germany," such as Tobias Reinkemeier, Philipp Gruissem, Igor Kurganov, and Fabian Quoss, and he could prove to be the first player to win this event twice if he can come out on top here. He goes in to the final fourth in chips with 2.215 million.

Seat 6: Fedor Holz (1,650,000)

After winning the 2014 PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker Main Event for $1.3 million, Fedor Holz set some new, challenging goals for himself: "I want to win a super high roller. I enjoy playing live tournaments and this would be the cherry on top of an awesome year."

The year may have turned to 2015, but Holz now finds himself in the mix at a super high roller final table with the chance at achieving one of his goals.

Prior to this event, Holz’s biggest live tournament cash came from a ninth-place finish at EPT Malta for €60,290. Already earning much more than that here in this event, don't let the young, German baby face fool you. Holz can play with the best of them and he certainly has that killer instinct that all top poker players have.

With the average stack a little over 2.2 million, Holz will enter the third and final day of play with 1.65 million — good for sixth overall. He'll still have 41 big blinds to work with, and no one should count this young champion out.

Seat 7: Dario Sammartino (4,480,000)

Dario Sammartino is the chip leader going in to today’s final table. Already earning the biggest live poker result of his career, Sammartino won his entry to this event via a €10k live satellite. With over a quarter of the chips in play, he's clearly put himself in the position to make his first shot count as much as possible.

When the event neared the money, Sammartino played the biggest pot of the tournament against another player yielding a big stack, Ole Schemion. The outcome of the hand was a bit surprising to many, but whether you view the hand as a slow-roll, nit-roll, or tough decision for his tournament life on the bubble, Sammartino was pushed the pot after he made the call to see his stack skyrocket to the top of the leader board.

Prior to this cash, Sammartino's best live poker result was €95,000 for second place in the 2013 Italian Poker Tour Sanremo Main Event. Despite that result, Sammartino's win as a member of Team Italy in the first-ever Global Poker Masters, held during EPT Malta, might just be his proudest accomplishment in the game to date. Whichever it is, Sammartino is certainly riding a lot of momentum lately and playing with a lot of confidence.

Coming into this event, Sammartino boasted a poker résumé with just shy of $1.3 million in live tournament earnings. He'll have a lot of tough competition today but the Italian might just be on the verge of a breakout performance on poker's largest stage.

Seat 8: Scott Seiver (470,000)

Oh look, Scott Seiver has made another super high roller final table. And, like so many other times he's done so, he'll enter as the shortest stack left, this time bringing 470,000 to Day 3.

When the players reached the money, Seiver joked that if you added up the total amount of chips he's cashed with in the last four super high roller events, he probably wouldn't have more than the current average stack. At the time of making the money, there were nine players left, which made the average stack just over 1.972 million in chips. Seiver had 485,000. In the last three super high roller events he's cashed in — the 2015 Aussie Millions $250,000 Challenge, the 2015 Aussie Millions $100,000 Challenge, and the 2015 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $100,000 Super High Roller — Seiver cashed with approximately 475,000, 545,000, and 405,000 in chips, respectively. The total of those four amounts are 1.91 million, putting him under the 1.972 million average for making the money in this event.

With all of those results in these high-stakes events, Seiver is certainly no stranger to big buy-in tournament poker and big-time success. He already holds one Super High Roller title from the 2013 PCA when he took down the $100,000 SHR for over $2 million. Besides that outstanding performance, Seiver has cashed in nine other open events that boast a buy-in of €50,000 or higher.

Seiver's career live tournament earnings now total nearly $15.2 million, not including whatever happens today. He won a WSOP bracelet in 2008 for $755,891 and the WPT World Championship in 2011 for $1,618,344. Currently eighth on poker's all-time money list, Seiver's already won over $2 million in 2015 after coming off back-to-back years winning more than $4 million from live tournaments. Plus, he's the recent new No. 1 on the Global Poker Index, and this result is only going to help him solidify his position.

Sure, he's the short stack in the final eight, but Seiver has proven time and time again he knows what it takes to ladder up the pay scale despite the odds being stacked against him.

EPT High Roller Event Final Table

Andrey Andreev, Russia (2,270,000)

Andrey Andreev is one of two relatively unknown players left in the field, especially to the common poker fan. He is from Russia and has just $42,311 in live tournament earnings. He stands to double that amount with the money he's earning already (€86,800), but with the big chip lead of 2.27 million and over 21% of the chips in play, he stands to score a lot more.

Andreev's largest live tournament result is worth €13,900, and it comes as a result of an 84th-place finish in EPT Barcelona Main Event in 2014. In October 2014, Andreev cashed twice in EPT London side events, and then he finished 22nd in the EPT Malta €2,150 Turbo Bounty event for €2,470.

Charlie Carrel, UK (1,534,000)

Charlie Carrel hails from the UK and is making the fourth result from the two most recent European Poker Tour stops, this EPT Grand Final and the last one in Malta. Now with over $400,000 in live tournament earnings, Carrel recently scored €183,800 for a fifth-place finish int eh EPT Malta €10,300 High Roller.

While that result is Carrel's largest, it wasn't a win. Carrel's biggest live win came in November of last year when he topped a field of 212 entries in the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Grand Final £2,125 Main Event. He beat Paul Nunes in heads-up play and earned £108,625 as the top prize.

His specialty is six-max cash games and multi-table tournaments, and he's certainly making the most of experience in the latter with a deep run here in one of the most prestigious events in the world.

Carrel will enter Day 3 second in chips with 1.534 million.

Dario Sammartino, Italy (1,300,000)

Italian Dario Sammartino is making an early case for breakout player of the year, and his success started at the last European Poker Tour stop in Malta.

It was there that Sammartino played in the Global Poker Masters event as part of Team Italy. As a part of the team, Sammartino and the others took the title and the success has been rolling in ever since.

Sammartino started his Monaco festival by winning a satellite into the €100,000 Super High Roller — by far the largest poker event of his career. He not only played the biggest event of his young career, but he went on to earn his largest score after making the final table and finishing fourth for €709,500. Sammartino followed that impressive result up by taking to action in the 564-player EPT Grand Final €10,600 Main Event. A few days after starting, Sammartino finished in 17th place for €51,350.

Now that he's in the money with the third largest stack of 1.3 million in the €25,500 High Roller, Sammartino is on the biggest rush of his life.

Before these results, Sammartino boasted a poker résumé with just shy of $1.3 million in live tournament earnings. He's now up to over $2.1 million in live tournament earnings, not including the €86,800 he's already locked up here.

Jeremy Ausmus, US (1,126,000)

Las Vegas resident Jeremy Ausmus earned his first live poker cash in January 2008. Since then, he's racked up more than $4.25 million in live event winnings, including 28 World Series of Poker cashes.

Of those 28, Ausmus' big breakout performance came in the 2012 WSOP Main Event when he reached the final table and took fifth for over $2.155 million. In 2013, Ausmus traveled to WSOP Europe and won the €1,650 Pot-Limit Omaha event for his first gold bracelet and €70,324. Then last summer, he nearly won a second bracelet when he took second in the $10,000 Six-Handed No-Limit Hold'em event for $414,104.

In 2013, Ausmus opened up to PokerNews about his poker career and family life. He even gave his top tips for poker-playing parents and how to lead a positive, balanced lifestyle while building a career in the game. You can read more in the article Finding Balance: Poker and Family Life with Jeremy Ausmus.

Pablo Melogno, Uruguay (990,000)

Uruguay's Pablo Melogno may not be a household name just yet, but it could soon become one.

Melogno brought 990,000 in chips to Day 3 of the €25,500 High Roller and was fifth in chips. He's been playing with poise and confidence, and he has quickly proven to be one of the toughest competitors in the field. Through the first two days, Melogno was constantly applying pressure to his opponents and wielding one of the larger stacks in the tournament.

Prior to this score, Melogno's live tournament earnings were nearly $300,000. His first result on record was in 2010 when he took fourth in the 2010 Conrad Poker Tour in Punta del Este of his home country. There he earned $133,000. He has another fourth-place finish in the Latin-American Poker Tour Punta del Este event in 2012 for $60,420, and then two more cashes for $40,000 and $32,000 in $1,000 events in the 2014 Conrad Poker Tour.

Melogno has only cashed once our of 12 times outside of Latin America, and that was in Las Vegas at the World Series of Poker last summer.

Yingui Li, China (791,000)

Yingui Li is one of two unknown players to enter Day 3, with the other being the chip leader Andrey Andreev.

Li is from China and will enter the third and final day of play with 791,000. He only had $16,478 in live tournament earnings before this event started, and that means the €86,800 he's earning already is by far his largest cash result of his career. Previously, Li had four results on record for between $2,600-$5,400.

Two of Li's results stem from Li's performance in poker tournaments in Macau. Another is from Las Vegas, and then the fourth is from the France Poker Series Monaco €1,100 Main Event that took place during this festival last year.

Martin Jacobson, Sweden (628,000)

Martin Jacobson is one of poker’s most consistent players, but last year was when his life truly changed. Jacobson entered the famous World Series of Poker Main Event as a top pro amongst the field of 6,683 entries. When it was all said and done in November, Jacobson proved to be the last man standing to claim the $10 million top prize from poker's grandest event.

In that event, Jacobson rode the Day 1a chip lead all the way to victory, and he currently boasts nearly $15 million in live tournament earnings. In fact, this result here — no matter what the finish from here on out — will push him over $15 million in live winnings.

Originally from Stockholm, Sweden, Jacobson now makes London his home base as he travels the globe plying his trade. He's ranked first on Sweden's all-time money list and ninth on the overall poker all-time money list.

Since the life-changing score, Jacobson has continued to put up results, but this one will be his largest since.

Max Altergott, Germany (559,000)

The second year the EPT Grand Final €100,000 Super High Roller was held, in 2013, it was won by a relatively unknown German player who was recording the first live tournament result of his poker career. That player was Max Altergott, an online high-stakes cash-game player, and he won that event for nearly €1.75 million after defeating Jason Mercier in heads-up play.

Since then, Altergott has become a regular in big buy-in poker tournaments, racking up over $4.7 million in live cashes. In fact, he almost won the €100,000 Super High Roller for a second time this year, ultimately finishing third for €940,300 behind Erik Seidel and Dzmitry Urbanovich.

Also of note, he scored a victory in the 2013 World Poker Tour Paris €15,000 High Roller for €181,440 and won the 2014 Aussie Millions $25,000 Challenge for AU$241,785. Furthermore, Altergott took second in a WPT Alpha8 event for £350,000 in London and has cashed in a couple of ARIA high roller events.

You can regularly find Altergott hanging around with several other members of "Team Germany," such as Tobias Reinkemeier, Philipp Gruissem, Igor Kurganov, and Fabian Quoss.

He came into Day 3 of this event with 559,000 in chips.

Dan Smith, US (486,000)

Dan Smith is one of the most successful poker players in the game. He has several titles, handfuls of results, and over $9 million in live tournament earnings. But, he'll have to battle with more than just tough competitors on the felt in this one.

In the latter half on Day 2, Smith was overcome with illness. It was suggested by some of the players that he came down with food poisoning, and Smith was often seen hovering over a garbage bin that was placed closed by for his convenience. As the night wore on, things didn't seem to get better for Smith, but he battled through it. At one point, a medical staff member was called in to sit by his side and tend to him. She assisted by repeatedly wiping him down with cool cloths, monitoring his vitals, and making sure he was getting enough fluids.

When the day was done, Smith left the tournament area alongside some of his friends with plans to go to the hospital to get checked out. The tournament staff handled bagging his finishing stack of 486,000.

Smith's largest live tournament score came last year during the summer when he won the $102,000 Super High Roller held at Bellagio for over $2 million.

In Monaco, Smith has had plenty of prior success. Of note, he won not one, not two, but three €5,000 side events in 2012. He also won another €5,000 side event this year just a few days ago for nearly €110,000.

Imad Derwiche, Senegal (470,000)

Imad Derwiche will start Day 3 with 470,000, which is the third smallest stack.

The man listed as from Senegal boasts live tournament earnings of over $330,000. He only has one result that breaks the six-figure mark, and that came from 2011 at the World Poker Tour Regional Series in Paris. It was in that event that he bested a field of 27 entries to win the €10,000 High Roller for €125,000. After that score, Derwiche's largest cash is for €20,000.

Knowing that, Derwiche is already earning the second best score of his live tournament career, as all players are guaranteed at least €86,800.

Dominik Nitsche, Germany (365,000)

Entering Day 3 as the second shortest stack with 365,000, Dominik Nitsche will be looking to add another big score to his more than $4.1 million in live tournament earnings. Nitsche has earned two-thirds of poker's Triple Crown achievement, winning both a World Series of Poker Bracelet and a World Poker Tour Title. In fact, he has three WSOP gold bracelets and is the youngest player in the game to achieve that status.

While Nitsche may be missing a European Poker Tour main event title to close the Triple Crown deal, he does have a big Latin-American Poker Tour from 2009. That proved not only to be the first big score of Nitsche's career, but it was his first live tournament result altogether. The event was in Mar del Plata, Argentina, and Nitsche topped a field of 291 players to take home $381,030.

Nitsche's gold bracelets came in 2012 and 2014. In the first, he won a $1,000 event for $654,797. In 2014, he won the WSOP National Championship for $352,800 and another $1,000 event for $335,659.

Steve O'Dwyer, US (356,000)

Steve O'Dwyer entered Day 2 of the €25,500 High Roller with the chip lead after bagging 330,200 on Day 1. At the end of Day 2, O'Dwyer's stack was just about the same, finishing with a slightly larger 356,000. But instead of being on the top of the counts this time, he was stuck at the bottom of the remaining 12 heading into Day 3.

A former resident of the United States, O'Dwyer now resides overseas in Europe where he can actively play online poker without restriction.

Just a couple months ago, O'Dwyer scored first place in the 2015 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $100,000 Super High Roller. He earned $1.872 million for that victory and propelled his live tournament winnings over $9 million. That was the largest live event score for O'Dwyer, but he's got plenty of other big ones to go along with it.

In November 2014, O'Dwyer took first in the Asia-Pacific Poker Tour Asia Championship of Poker for over $1.8 million. He's also a champion of the EPT Grand Final Main Event from here in Monaco in 2013. There he earned a top prize of €1.224 million.

IPT 5 Final Main Event Final Table

Seat 1: Michael Feil, 27, Munich, Germany - PokerStars player - 3,305,000
Feil considers himself as an “interim” professional player. He finished University last year and is now trying to get a job in engineering. In the meantime, he is playing poker full time, mainly online. Feil plays cash games Monday to Saturday, but on Sunday he focuses on the major MTTs on PokerStars. His biggest cash so far was for around $19k, which means that making this final table has already given him the best result of his career. He has played a few EPTs - in Vienna and Prague – and will buy in to the EPT Main Event here in Malta only if he makes it to the top three in the IPT.

Seat 2: Frederik Reusch, 25, Hamburg, Germany - PokerStars player - 4,730,000
By making the IPT final table, twenty-five-year-old Frederik Reusch has already secured the biggest cash of his career. Before now, his biggest score came in Rozvadov, where he took down the Poker Belgique Masters for €18k. Reusch is currently in his final year of a Masters degree in Economics and that’s why he won’t be playing the EPT Main Event: he has to travel back home to Hamburg for an exam. Reusch plays poker both live and online and both cash games and tournaments. Reusch is enjoying support from his friends who are cheering him on via text messages.

Seat 3: Nicolino di Carlo, 28, Isola Gran Sasso, Teramo, Italy - 2,585,000
Di Carlo is a poker pro who has been playing for the last six years, mainly online cash games. His biggest online result to date was €46k in a 2011 tourney. Last September he finished tenth in the IPT Sanremo Main Event for €6k – so he has just surpassed that achievement by making tomorrow’s Malta final – however his best live result came at EPT7 Sanremo when he finished 27th for €22,500. Di Carlo studied maths at university but dropped out after two years to focus on poker; he also played pool as a semi-professional but had to abandon that pursuit also. He is getting married in October; his fiancée is actually now working as his manager as he pursues his poker career.

Seat 4: Ezio Nisoli, 52, Verdellino, Burgamo, Italy - 1,960,000
Nisoli is a businessman who owns a bar and also a slot room. He only plays poker recreationally but is pretty involved in his local poker community where he is president of a Texas Hold’em club. He’s been playing poker since 2007 and mainly plays live. Nisoli has a passion for horses and racing. He was an amateur jockey for 12 years and owned his own stable of racehorses. His best result to date was winning a €300 NL event in Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt – an achievement he is extra proud of because it involved beating 2010 WSOP finalist Filippo Candio heads-up.

Seat 5: Julian Track, 31, from Berlin, Germany - PokerStars qualifier – 4,375,000
Back in December 2013, when Track won the EPT9 Prague Main Event for a life-changing €725,700, he said that - apart from the forthcoming Aussie Millions - he probably wouldn’t play any more live events because he preferred the quicker pace of online. True enough, he did vanish for a while but he played both the PCA and FPS Deauville this season and also final-tabled a €1k Omaha Hi/Lo side event during EPT Barcelona last August. He won his package to the IPT Malta Main Event back in in January in a €215 qualifier.

Seat 6: Jaroslaw “husajn54” Sikora, 27, Krakow, Poland - 7,600,000
Polish poker pro Jaroslaw Sikora was originally supposed to be in Thailand right now but, thanks to being unable to get a visa in time, he had to cancel that holiday and decided to visit a friend in Malta instead. He has no regrets now as he is chip leader going in to the final table of the IPT Main Event. Sikora took up poker around nine years ago - after seeing a Full Tilt advertisement online - and has been playing professionally for the last seven years, with his biggest result to date coming last October when he finished fourth in the PokerStars Sunday Million for $41,363. He only plays live events a few times a year and, so far, his results are more modest and include a min-cash in the Eureka €2k High Roller last December. He now guaranteed a lifetime best cash for making the IPT Malta final here.

Seat 7: Georgios “Zisimo7” Zisimopoulos, 26, Athens, Greece - 4,000,000
Zisimopoulos is a well-known Greek player and arguably the most experienced live tournament player at the table. He has been playing poker for around six years and is currently ranked #12 in Greece’s all time money list. Zisimopoulos, who graduated in Economics from Athens University, has a ton of EPT cashes including three runner-up finishes in side events in London, Berlin and Prague. Making the IPT Malta final table will take his live tournament winnings well over the €300k mark but that figure is dwarfed by his online winnings which total nearly $2 million and include winning a WCOOP Omaha event for $100k.

Seat 8: Georgi Abuladze, 26, Tallinn, Estonia – PokerStars qualifier - 2,645,000
Even though Abuladze is the current Estonian online champion, he says that “playing poker live is more fun of course!” and he says he’s made a few suck-outs to get this far. He started playing poker around five-six years ago but has been playing more seriously for the last 18 months. Online, he focuses on low to mid-stakes MTTs, and the Sunday majors. He won his seat for IPT Malta €55 qualifier in January. His biggest live cash to date was making the final 16 in the Eureka High Roller event in Prague for €10,600.

EPT Main Event Final Table

Seat 1: Antonin Duda, 28, Jablonec nad Nisou, Czech Republic, PokerStars qualifier -2,510,000

The 28-year-old economics graduate, who won multiple packages for EPT Malta online, has been already having a great month. Before heading out to Malta, he won two major tourneys on Full Tilt for a total of $62k. The Czech poker pro lives in Jablonec, a town located near the border with Poland. His biggest live result comes from EPT9 Barcelona, where he finished seventh for €125,950.

Seat 2: Stefan Schillhabel, 28, from Dusseldorf/Germany - PokerStars player - 2,030,000

Stefan started playing poker in 2006 with friends and is still a recreational player. He is currently studying for a Masters in sociology and also has a part-time job in sales. In 2014 he qualified for EPT10 Deauville and since then has also played EPT10 Vienna, EPT100 Barcelona and Deauville for a secont ime last month – however this is his first EPT Main Event cash.. His best result so far came last summer when he took down a $600 Deepstack Event in Las Vegas for $21.047.

Seat 3: Javier Gomez Zapatero, 24, Salamanca, Spain, PokerStars qualifier - 4,110,000

Javier Gomez Zapatero originally hails from the Spanish university town of Salamanca but has relocated to London where he shares an apartment with his fellow countrymen Sergio Aido and Adrian Mateos. Gomez Zapatero is not as famous as his housemates just yet, but that could all change with the EPT Malta final table. He was leading the Main Event at the end of Day 3 and has now made it to the final eight - already securing him his biggest result at a live tournament.

Seat 4: Valentin Messina, 34, France – living in Malta – 6,810,000
Messina first came to fame when he beat Freddy Deeb in the France Poker Tour in 2010 for €131,780. The 34-year-old poker pro has been living in Malta for the last 18 months. He wasn’t originally planning to compete in the Main Event but was talked in to it by other friends in Malta who had won their seats online. He sold a % of himself and decided to buy in after all. Messina, a former Supernova on PokerStars.fr, has been a Poker-Coach Academy coach for several years. He now mainly plans online cash games and only plays tournaments on Sunday  - that said, he won the Sunday Warm-up last October for € 84k after cutting a two-way deal.

Seat 5: Remi Wyrzikiewicz, 23, Poznan, Poland, Live satellite qualifier - 565,000

Making the final table of EPT Malta is a breakout performance in live poker by Polish player Remi Wyrzikiewicz, playing alongside his compatriot and friend Dominik Panka. While the latter is certainly the bigger star, Wyrzikewicz wukk still be aiming to follow in Panka's steps and become Poland's second EPT champ. So far, Wyrzikiewicz's live tournament results do not reveal much about him. He bubbled the official final table at Eureka Rozvadov just a month ago, finishing ninth for €10k. He was up against another EPT Malta finalist there, Hossein Ensan, who was eliminated right after Wyrzikiewicz.

Seat 6: Hossein Ensan, 50, Munster, Germany, PokerStars player - 3,155,000

Ensan belongs to a group of players here in Malta who already know what it feels like to get this far at an EPT. The 50-year old German came to fame at EPT100 in Barcelona when - firstly, he took down the Seniors event and then won his Main Event seat in a live satellite. It turned to be his life-changing achievement as he finished third at EPT Barcelona for €652,667. Ensan is originally from Iran, but moved to Germany when he was 25 and now lives in Münster. Last month, he made it to the final table at Eureka Rozvadov, busting in eighth place for €12,770.

Seat 7: Dominik Panka, 24, Poland, PokerStars-sponsored player - 890,000

2014 PCA champ Dominik Panka is celebrating his 24th birthday today with yet another EPT final table appearance. The Pole shot to fame in January last year when he took down the flagship tourney in the Bahamas for $1,423,096. At the very next EPT stop in Deauville, he won the €10k High Roller for a further €272,000. His fantastic performance in 2014 earned him a nomination for the European Poker Awards Breakout Player of the Year Award, Tournament Performance of the Year and the trophy for Polish Player of the Year. Panka is only former EPT champion left in the field.

Seat 8: Jean Montury, 40, France - 6,780,000

Jean Montury, a former pool champion, discovered Texas Hold'em in the late 90s during a trip to Las Vegas.  Now 40, Montury runs a tourism complex and golf course in Arras close to Lille but makes no secret of his desire to become a professional poker player. His results including winning the Barriere Deauville event in 2012 for €30,300, finishing 41st at EPT10 Deauville for €12,080 and coming fourth in the FPS Deauville €2k High Roller for €57,290. Montury has also made three side event tables here Malta.

FPS 4 Final Main Event Final Table

Seat 1 - Abdelkader Medjahed,  36, Val de Marne, near Paris, France – 3,800,000
Abdelkader Medjahed - who prefers to shorten his name to Kader, is a French pro from Thiais, in Val de Marne near Paris. After earning his baccalaureate and working in customer service for France Telecom and Quick, Medjahed decided to focus entirely on playing live poker. He discovered draw poker through his cousins, but - passionate about logic - he started playing the NLH & PLO cash tables and tournaments at the Cercle Cadet and the Aviation Club. Kader only plays live because he finds it more fun. His tournament winnings include 19th at BPT Enghien in October for €3,280. Even though he has played numerous FPS tournaments, this is his first France Poker Series cash. He has already decided to reinvest a portion of his winnings by entering Day 1B of the EPT Main Event – and he’s given the rest to his mother. His goal: to finish in the top 3!

Seat 2 - Felix Lambertz, 26,  Germany - PokerStars qualifier - 11,150,000
Poker pro Felix Lambertz originally hails from Friesland but, like many German poker players, has relocated to Vienna, Austria. Lambertz has been playing poker since he turned 18 and although he loves both online and live poker, he prefers online because of the faster pace. As well as Hold'em, Lambertz also plays PLO and all variants of Omaha Hi / Lo NLO8, his favorite. Online, his best result was making the final of the PokerStars Sunday Million. He started today’s FPS final table as chip leader.

Seat 3 - Yohan Figueiras, 23, Paris, France - PokerStars qualifier - 3,320,000
Figueiras, discovered online poker when he turned 18 and been playing professionally for several years now. He made his debut at the Cercle Cadet in Paris, mainly playing cash games at €2/€4 and €5/€5 limits. Since the club’s closure, he has focused on online cash games and live tournaments. Known online as "Figo-75004", Figueiras qualified for FPS Deauville thanks to his runner-up place on the PokerStars.fr Leaderboard last November. Online his results include runner-up in the SCOOP-01-L event, a €30 NL SuperKO for €9,546. This is the 23-year-old’s third FPS Main Event; he finished 107th last year. He came to Normandy with a group of friends from his Circle Cadet days. Accustomed to playing tournaments with mid-stakes buy-ins, Figueiras plans to play the EPT if he does well today and hopefully attain his dream of going to Vegas for the World Series this summer.

Seat 4 - Anthony Apicella, 32, Corsica, France – 4,720,000
Bar manager Apicella discovered online poker ten years ago and, more recently, started playing live. He does not really consider himself a regular player, saying: "I play one or two tournaments per year, but I have good results". These include making the final table in a Partouche Poker Tour side event in 2010 and a deep run in a tourney in Marrakech. However, the €31,000 he is guaranteed here at the FPS Deauville final table will be far and away his best live cash to date.

Seat 5 - Ivan Luca - 23 years - Argentina - PokerStars player - 890,000

Pre-PCA, Luca said: "For an Argentinian to play the European tour is not easy - the distance is 11,000 to 14,000km, so the journey hours and the high travel frais make it hard to blind in AFFORD The Most expensive buy in tournaments. HOWEVER this year I Decided to try playing the international circuit, Beginning with online qualifiers to different tournaments. Fortunately I won 4 packages Prague, 2 and PCA packages aussi 2 LAPT seats Bahamas. "Luca is here being white railed by his girlfriend Constanza Lampropulos. She has-been Accompanying Luca On His recent trips and poker Was runner-up herself in the PCA Women's Event.

Seat 6 - Anthony Picault, 38, France – 1,350,000
Living in Saint Brieuc, this Breton poker player started his poker life with five card poker 20 years ago. He’s an amateur but he’s played several tournaments on the European Poker Tour and this is his seventh FPS. His best live result to date was winning the Marrakech Poker Open at the Casino Es Saadi but he has also had some solid EPT cashes. Known as “TonyLeon22” online, Picault is an active member of the Club Poker community. For live tournaments, he usually travels with the same group of friends including Nateag, Max Dupont, Nicolas Le Floch, Mathieu Lamagnère, Romain Chauvassagne or mama913. If he wins the FPS Main, he plans to play extra events at this summer’s WSOP in Las Vegas (he always books his holidays around tournaments he wants to play). If he makes the top three today, he’s going to party non-stop for the next three days;  if he doesn’t make the top three, he’s going to play Day 1b of the EPT Main Event.

Seat 7 - Vincent Garat, 37, Paris, France - 1150000
Garat discovered poker seven years ago in tournaments at the Aviation Club and it’s there that he’s achieved his best results: sixth in the ClubPoker Deepstack in 2010 and winning a €300 tournament for more than €7,000. Vincent is now exclusively focused on live cash games and very rarely plays online.  Also known as "VG78" in the ClubPoker forum, Garat bought in to the tournament on site, and has already achieved the best performance of his career.

Seat 8 - Nicolas Hamouni, 19, France - PokerStars qualifier - 7,865,000
Hamouni may be the youngest at the FPS Deauvill final table but he’s an experienced player who has been dominating tourneys on .fr since he started playing. He splits his time between Annecy in France, where his parents live and he plays on .fr, with spells in nearby Geneva where he can play on .com. He describes himself as an amateur but one who competes in a lot of tournaments.
His best online result was making the final table of the Sunday Million and suffered a bad beat in a hand that would have given him the chip lead. He qualified for FPS Deauville for just €30 on PokerStars.fr and is aiming for his first six-figure cash. He said:”It's only my fourth live tournament so everything from now on is a bonus. I play to win but it will be tough because my position is difficult, with the big chipleader two seats to my left. I'll do my best with the great support of my friends who are here... and I appreciate all the messages from friends at home.”

EPT Main Event Final Table

Seat 1: Benjamin Pollak, 31, Paris, living in London
An accomplished player (both online and live), comfortable with both cash game and tournament play and familiar with most poker variants, Benjamin Pollak is a consummate all-around player, and can already be considered an old-timer despite his young age. Prior moving to London a few years ago, Pollak was a regular visitor at Paris’s Avation Club de France in Paris (since 2007), alternating between PLO and NLHE 5€/10€ cash-game tables and multi table tournaments. A very consistent player, Pollak seemingly makes a big score during each one of his poker trips, especially during the last few months, with a 11th place in the PCA Main Event (for $78,874), a big side event win at EPT Prague against Martin Jacobson (for €64,190) and a fifth place in the EPT Barcelona €10k High Roller (for €219,000). Other big scores include 27th place in the 2013 WSOP Main Event (for $285,408), a runner-up finish at WPT Barcelona WPT in 2013 , fourth at WPT Prague 2011 for €104,000) and a win at the 2010 Trophees Haussmann event in Paris for €100,800.  This is his fifth EPT Main Event cash and will help him top the $2 million mark in live tournament winnings.

Seat 2: Massou Cohen, 51, Paris, France
Of the 592 players who took part in this season’s EPT Deauville Main Event, Michel “Massou” Cohen is one of the very few who has made the trip to Normandy every year since the event was first held in Season 1. With live results dating back to 1996, Cohen has a lot of experience but is nonetheless an amateur player, running a plastic surgery center/clinic on the Champs Elysées, only a few blocks from the now-defunct Aviation Club de France. Cohen was a regular fixture at the club since poker was introduced there exactly 20 years ago (sadly for all French players, the club closed down last September). Cohen, who has accumulated an impressive string of cashes, final tables and victory in every card room in Paris, is now cashing for the second time in an EPT Main Event - seven years after finishing 58th at the EPT Grand Final for €43,575, his second best live result. Cohen also has several results in France Poker Series tourneys.

Seat 3: Andrius Bielskis, 34, Lithuania – PokerStars qualifier
Bielskis came to poker from another other card game - bridge. He played as an amateur at first but, at the beginning of 2013, decided to improve his poker skills and took some poker lessons from professional players. His improvement was rewarded pretty soon. On March 4th 2013 he won the Sunday Million Anniversary for $848,589. After that big win, he decided to pursue a fulltime career as a poker pro. He came close to another big online score last year when he finished 13th in the WCOOP Main Event for $54,621. His total online winnings are  $1.46 million. Last summer he had a deep run in the WSOP $1,111 Little One for One Drop where he finished 39th from a starting field of 4,496 players. EPT11 Deaville is his first EPT Main Event – he won his seat in a €215 2xChance "PokerStars" satellite.

Seat 4: Matas Cimbolas, 21, Lithuania, living in London
A former economics student from the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius, Cimboas decided two years ago to give up his studies and move to London to pursue a full-time career as a poker pro. He had huge success online with nearly $1m ($991,197) in  total winnings, his biggest score being a runner-up finish in the Sunday 500 for $52,325. He also has a SCOOP-H final table, victories in The Sunday Brawl and The Sunday Major on Full Tilt Poker. At the end of 2013 he started to play more live events – mainly in medium buyin tournaments in the UK. Success came in November 2014 when he won WPT Nottingham for £200,000. He outlasted a star-packed final table there, which included Antoine Saout, Patrick Leonard, Tamer Kamel and Ben Warrington who he beat heads-up. It was the first major live tournament title in Lithuania poker history.

Seat 5: Dany Parlafes, 30, Romania – PokerStars qualifier
Parlafes first appeared on the international live poker scene in 2009, and his winnings already amount to nearly $500k ($488,192 so far) but – as he said yesterday after busting a player: "I'm the best at running good". He is now guaranteed at least €58,820 for making the final eight. Parlafes, who made the transition to poker from sports betting, is mainly a cash game player but he also plays some tournaments as he likes travelling with his mum and seeing new places.  He reported a bunch of results in EPT and Eureka circuits but his best cash was in 2012 for $ 144,979 at the Vienna Poker Festival. He won his two weeks ago on PokerStars.fr.

Seat 6: Ognyan Dimov, 25, Bulgaria
Dimov has played numerous EPTs since the start of Season 10 including the PCA, Prague, London and Barcelona. Ranked #25 in the Bulgaria all-time money list for live events and a SuperNova on PokerStars, the 25-year-old from Veliko Tarnova finished 11th at EPT London last October for his best ever live result of €33,500. He was also 20th in the EPT Barcelona High Roller for €11,400. His first ever live results was also on the European Poker Tour when he finished 31st in a €1k side event at EPT Prague last season. His total live tournament winnings are already over $100k. Online, Dimov has been playing on PokerStars since 2009 and is a regular in the major tourneys. 2014 was a very successful year for him online – his best results were third in the $1,050 Super Tuesday ($400K Gtd) for $61,608 and runner-up in the $109 Sunday Rebuy ($225K Gtd) for $45,884. He also has multiple third and fourth place finishes in tourneys like the $215 Sunday Supersonic ($125K Gtd), $530 Sunday 500 ($300K Gtd).

Seat 7: Benjamin “FreeStyle324” Buhr, 25, Lamballe, Brittany – PokerStars qualifier
After spending the last few years honing his skills online and avidly following the tour via EPTLive, Benjamin Buhr finally made his EPT debut this week. He said: “It has always been a dream for me to play the EPT in Deauville.” Buhr says his main goal for his first appearance at an EPT was to “gain experience”. With a seat at the final, a hefty chip-stack and a €543,700 first prize in sight, the 25-year-old is certainly getting more than he asked for! Buhr qualified in a €500 Double Vision satellite on PokerStars.fr on New Year’s Day (after bubbling the first one he played). He is a relative newcomer to live play (with only four cashes to his name, including a min-cash at this year’s FPS Main Event final) but an experienced online player under the moniker “FreeStyle324” ($94,561 in cashes on PokerStars.fr). Buhr is being supported here by his girlfriend as well as his mom, who’s been cheering from the rail since Day 1 (a cousin is also on the way - no info about aunts and/or uncles).

Seat 8: Joseph Carlino, 49, Lyon, France
Every so often the EPT throws up a real character and there’s no doubt that Joseph Carlino – the all-singing, Tae Kwon Do-kicking bon vivant who has been entertaining EPTLive viewers for two days - is one of them.  He came to Deauville after qualifying online for the FPS Main Event -  and then won his EPT Main Seat in a live satellite. The ebullient part-time actor, who runs a restaurant in Lyon, is also a karaoke fan and amateur magician and having the time of his life here at Casino Barriere. He’s been playing poker since at least 2009 but now guaranteed by far his biggest lifetime cash. In fact, the €58,820 he’s guaranteed for making the final is way more than all his other live cashes put together. For more on Carlino, do see his entertaining online show reel (in French): http://www.dailymotion.com/jojopoker69 and PokerNews vblogger Remko Rinkema's interview http://youtu.be/0cH_5xyRO8A

EUREKA 4 Prague Main Event Final Table

Seat 1: Endre Sagstuen, 24, Norway, PokerStars player - 4,090,000
Endre Sagstuen is specialized for online MTTs, although the Norwegian is also doing pretty well in huge-field live tournaments as we could see him running deep in the record-breaking Estrellas Main Event at EPT100 in Barcelona back in August. On that occassion, Endre Sagstuen fell just shy of the final table, finishing 12th (out of 2,560 players) for €23,094, scoring the best live result prior to entering the Eureka 4 Prague finale.

Seat 2: Lucas Blanco, 24, Spain - 2,790,000
Another deep run in a local tour for the Spaniard; he managed to do it in the Estrellas and UKIPT London Main Events before, where he finished 5th and 13th respectively. Now he added Eureka final table to his name. Blanco's best result is worth €35,710 so far and comes from the previously mentioned Estrellas Marbella, although he plays mostly online tournaments and the biggest cash he earned on PokerStars was around $18,000.

Seat 3: Atanas Malinov, 21, Bulgaria, PokerStars qualifier - 6,365,000
Not only he is the youngest player on the final table, Atanas Malinov from Bulgaria also shares the chip lead. PokerStars qualifier Atanas Malinov has won the seat for just €82 and has already turned it for at least a €28,100 payday, which is by far his best live result. Malinov had a nice spring, scoring two 3rd place finishes in SCOOP for around $80k in total.

Seat 4: Athanasios Xenodochidis, 25, Greece - 1,940,000
Athanasios Xenodochidis is a 25-year old poker player from Greece. He mainly plays no-limit hold'em cash online. His biggest result online was winning the Hot $16.50 Turbo on PokerStars for $12,500 and he'll be going into the final table as the shortest remaining stack.

Seat 5: Ayman Zbib, 39, Lebanon - 5,135,000
Ayman Zbib is a 39-year old from Lebanon. Zbib is a well-known singer in his own country but when it comes to poker he regards himself as "75% professional". He only plays poker live and has previously cashed in EPT main events both here in Prague and in Deauville.

Seat 6: Jonas "donut604" Mackoff, 29, Canada, PokerStars player - 4,340,000
Representing Canada, Jonas Mackoff is the online heavy weight entering the final table - under name "donut604" he grabbed both Super Tuesday and FTOPS titles earlier this year, earning more than $115k in each. Mackoff is not any new to a live scene as well - just two months ago, the Canadian won a side event at EPT11 London for £30,800. Now he is on a pace to upgrade his best live score and with at least a 3rd-place finish, he would secure even the biggest prize in carreer.

Seat 7: Balasz "birs320" Botond, 30, Hungary, PokerStars player - 6,365,000
30-year-old Balasz Botond is undoubtedly one of the most experienced players on the final table and on top of that, he starts it with a chip lead (sharing it with Malinov). The Hungarian has already scored many great results both live and online. He finished 4th in EPT8 Campione for €154,000 and can top it if he gets down to heads-up today. Botond made also both WSOP & WPT final tables in his carreer and his live winnings exceed $500k so far. He used to work in a Budapest department store and started playing poker five years ago. It took him only six months to turn pro and eventually ditch his job. Botond playes as "birs320" on PokerStars and is one of the best players

Seat 8: Vladimir Velikov, 25, Bulgaria - 3,560,000
Twenty-five-year-old Vladimir Velikov is another Bulgarian reaching the Eureka 4 Prague final table. Velikov has already clinched the best live result, but his main achievements come from playing online on PokerStars. The Bulgarian won the Sunday Million two years ago for around $153,000 and also celebrated victory in the Sunday 530.

EPT Super High Roller Event Final Table

Seat 1: Stephen Chidwick (660,000 - 16.5 big blinds)
British pro and EPT serial qualifier Stephen Chidwick has been a fixture on the international live poker circuit for numerous years. He first made a name for himself at the online tables as "stevie444", but quickly demonstrated he knows how to translate his online skills to the live felt.

He had an amazing run right here on Prague last season finishing third in both the €1,100 Eureka Main Event (€92,500) and the €5,300 EPT Main Event (€378,000), his biggest score to date. His stare down and cool demeanour at the table is rivalled by very few. Chidwick brings 660,000 to the final table, which translates to just over 16 big blinds.

Seat 2: Paul Newey (1,510,000 - 37.8 big blinds)
Paul Newey hasn't been around for too long, but he's made an impression on everyone. The first time the poker world got to know Newey was when he participated in the inaugural The Big One for One Drop tournament in Las Vegas, a one million dollar buy in event. Newey, who hails from the UK, didn't cash in the event that year but he did this year. He started out as the short stack on the bubble, but sneaked into the money for $1,418,667. Newey also cashed in this year’s PCA $25,000 High Roller, finishing 11th for $110,740.

Newey sold his business a couple of years ago and has been enjoying the good life ever since. Newey is known for playing high stakes games all over the world, as well as enjoying high stakes slot machines – which he tweets about regularly as “topdollarman”. During the PokerStars and Monte-Carlo®Casino EPT Grand Final , two seasons ago Newey participated in the first televised cash game from Monaco, walking away a winner.

Seat 3: Juha Helppi (2,030,000 - 50.8 big blinds)
Finnish pro Juha Helppi has been playing European Poker Tour events as long as we can remember. His biggest score on the tour was eighth at EPT7 Copenhagen though, netting him about $54,000.

Outside of EPT Main Events, Helppi has been doing really well for himself with numerous cashes in High Roller events as well as deep runs in other tournaments all over the world. His biggest cash to date is his runner up finish in a $1,000 WSOP event in Vegas for $331,144.

Helppi qualified for this event through a €5k satellite – the only satellite winner to make the money - so he's already making a bigger profit on this tournament than anyone else.

Seat 4: Ivan Soshnikov (1,925,000 - 48.1 big blinds)
Russian player Ivan "vandir4rek" Soshnikov won this year’s Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) $10,300 Main Event for $1,048,000 after making a deal three handed. World champion Martin Jacobson, who bubbled this Super High Roller, was fourth in the SCOOP Main Event.

Soshnikov won last year’s €10k EPT High Roller for €382,050, beating Olivier Busquet heads up. He also cashed in last season’s PokerStars and Monte-Carlo®Casino EPT Grand Final €10k High Roller, the WPT €10k High Roller in North Cyprus and the HK$ 250k High Roller in Macau. Let's just say Soshnikov is a true high roller, currently having the best year of his life poker-wise.

Seat 5: Brian Roberts (275,000 - 6.9 big blinds)
American player Brian Roberts is best known for participating in the popular poker reality show “2 Months 2 Million”. While the show was about young guys making a fortune at the cash game tables, several of them have had great success in (live) tournaments as well. Roberts is certainly one of them.

His biggest cash to date was fourth in the WSOPE Main Event back in 2011 for €400,000. His deep run in the WSOP Main Event in Vegas this year was seen by millions from all over the world, eventually finishing in 26th place for $286,900.

Roberts comes in as the shortest stack with just shy of 7 big blinds. Beating his record of biggest cash might be a hard task to fulfil, but he's sure going to give it a try.

Seat 6: Leonid Markin (3,350,000 - 83.8 big blinds)
Russian player Leonid Markin will begin today’s Super High Roller event as the chip leader after a great Day 2. Markin has not been around the poker scene for very long but has already snagged several respectable results in 2014.

He was 17th in the $10k NL Six Handed event at the World Series of Poker before finishing fourth in £10,000 EPT High Roller during EPT London a few months ago. He was chip leader going in to that event too!

Seat 7: Vladimir Troyanovskiy (3,000,000 - 75 big blinds)
Russian pro Vladimir Troyanovskiy is very well known in the poker scene, traveling to all corners of the globe and picking up very respectable results. Sitting seventh in Russia’s all time money list, Troyanovskiy has had four final table results in high roller events in the past two years.

He was runner-up to Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst in the 2013 PCA $25k High Roller and third in this year’s EPT Barcelona super high roller, won by American pro Olivier Busquet.

EPT Main Event Final Table

Seat 1: Anton Bertilsson, 26, Sweden - PokerStars qualifier - 7,720,000
Professional poker player Anton Bertisson mainly plays Pot Limit Omaha cash games online but has attended several EPTs before and actually won two online packages to this event. He’s been playing poker since he was 18 and has earned his living from it ever since. Bertilsson lives in Stockholm with his girlfriend and loves football – both watching it and playing it!

Seat 2: Simon Mattsson, 21, Sweden - 2,805,000
Mattsson is an EPT regular who has been playing on the tour since Season 9 when he started playing poker for three years. He mainly plays online MTTs where he has had a lot of success. When not playing poker, he spends a lot of time watching sports – mainly ice hockey – and also plays tennis with friends.

Seat 3: Jonathan Wong, 30, London, UK - 2,090,000
Wong is a 30-year-old cash came pro from London who has been playing poker since 2006.  He took a break from the game in 2010, EPT Prague makes his return to big live tournaments and what a return it’s been.
He’s guaranteed his biggest ever lifetime tournament cash wherever he should finish, having eclipsed his biggest lifetime cash of €70,000 which came when he finished fourth in the Irish Open in 2006. But the money jumps will not faze him as he’s played as high as $200/$400 cash games online. Sadly Jonathan’s father passed away in November and he plans to donate a portion of his winnings from this tournament to charity in his memory.

Seat 4: Miltiadis Kyriakides, 32, Athens, Greece - 1,920,000
Omaha specialist Kyriakides has been playing EPTs since Season 4 and got his first EPT cash two years later when he cashed a £1k side event at EPT London. That was a No Limit Hold’em event but most of Kyriakides’ $720,000+ live tournament winnings have come in Omaha events. In EPT Season 9, he was the Omaha Player of the Year after dominating the season’s PLO tourneys, winning at EPT Barcelona and EPT London, and making two other final tables at Prague and the Grand Final.  Originally from Cyprus, the Greek #5 Kyriakides is now living in Athens. His biggest live cash was third in last summer’s WSOP $10k PLO event for $412,408. His best EPT cash was winning a £1 PLO event at EPT London last year for £32,820. He won his EPT Prague full prize package in a €320 NLHE Deep Hyper-Turbo in October.

Seat 5: Stephen Graner, 26, Las Vegas, United States - 8,985,000
Stephen Graner is a 26-year-old professional poker player, originally from Kailua, Hawaii, but who now lives in Las Vegas. After finishing sixth in the inaugural Millionaire Maker tournament at the World Series this summer - at $273,854, his biggest tournament score - Graner decided to explore a bit of Europe this autumn and included EPT Prague in his schedule. It was a wise choice: he has secured his first in-the-money finish outside of the United States and heads to the final table with a dominant chip lead. Should Graner place in the top two in this event, he will more than double his lifetime earnings from live tournaments, a total that currently stands at $676,642.

Seat 6: Bjorn Wiesler, 38, Germany - 3,065,000
German player Wiesler has played a few EPTs but this is his first main event cash and he also min-cashed the record-breaking €2k Eureka Prague High Roller the other day for €3,730. His live tournament winnings already total more than $314,824. He bought in to the event on site here at the Hilton Prague.

Seat 7: Remi Castaignon, 31, France - 2,070,000
French player Remi Castaignon has found a great way to celebrate his 31st birthday this week – with the chance of being the EPT’s second double champion! Castaignon, who turned 31 yesterday, snagged a giant €770,000 prize when he won Deauville in Season 9. Castaignon, who hails from a tiny village in the Pyrenées, has had several cashes since his Deauville victory including a final table in a $500 event in Las Vegas last summer and he also min-cashed both the Eureka Main Event and Eureka High Roller in Prague this week. He has been playing poker since 2007.

Seat 8: Fabio Sperling, 24, Germany, living in UK – PokerStars qualifier - 4,560,000
Estrellas Valencia champion Fabio Sperling was chip leader at the end of Day 4 of the EPT Prague Main Event. Sperling hails from Siegberg in Germany but is now living in the seaside resort of Ramsgate in the UK. He won the Estrellas Valencia Main Event for €77,000 in April, shortly after a runner-up finish in the Sunday Million 8th Anniversary bonanza. He’s been playing online since 2009 and live since 2011. He won his seat in a €215 qualifier on PokerStars.

UKIPT 4 London Main Event Final Table

Seat 1: Nickolas “daaaaaaang16” Davies, 30, Bend, Oregon, USA (currently living in Playa del Carmen, Mexico) PokerStars Player, 4,000,000
Originally from Bend, Oregon, poker pro Nickolas Davies is one of many Americans who have relocated to Playa Del Carmen in Mexico. He’s been in Europe since August though as he travelled over to Barcelona to play EPT100 with his good friends Nick Rampone and eventual runner-up Samuel Phillips.

He’s been playing poker for seven years but his career would’ve taken a very different path but for the economic crisis. He’d secured a job in finance but the economic down turn meant he wasn’t taken on. He was already playing a bit of poker because his brother Seth, who has a SCOOP title to his name, was also a keen player. The rest, as they say is history and Davies, who plays on PokerStars under the username daaaaaaang16, has several mid five-figure scores to his name online. His biggest live cash is $25,000 so should he finish seventh or higher he’ll have a new high score.

Seat 2: Rasmus Agerskov, 28, Denmark, PokerStars Qualifier, 3,150,000
Danish player Rasmus Agerskov is an EPT regular and no stranger to final tables. In March he finished sixth in the €10k EPT Vienna High Roller event for € 91,150 and in May last year won the Danish Championships for DKr 524,000 (around $92k). He also won the UKIPT Edinburgh £2k event in January this year for £22,430 and was fourth in the Sanremo €2k last season for €16,400. The £12,800 he is now guaranteed for making this UKIPT London final takes him well over the $600,000 mark for lifetime live tournament winnings.

Seat 3: Sandro Mescola, 68, Venice, Italy, 1,145,000
Sandro Mescola – now 68 – has been playing poker since he was 14 when he used to play five card draw with friends. Now retired from his work as a cultural events organiser in beautiful Venice, he has played numerous EPTs and IPT events. His best live result was at EPT Vilamoura in 2009 when he won a €1k side event for €20,181. He also made the final of IPT Venice in 2009, finishing 7th for €20,000. His lifetime live tournament winnings already amount to nearly $140,000.

Seat 4: Vladimir Troyanovskiy, 41, Russia, PokerStars Player, 2,705,000
Vladimir Troyanovskiy is almost certainly the best-known player at this season’s UKIPT London final table with a series of huge results on the European Poker Tour and global stage. He first came to fame in EPT Season 9 when he won EPT High Roller Player of the Year after finishing fifth in the EPT Grand Final €100 Super High Roller (for €339,500) and runner-up to Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst in the PCA $25k High Roller event for a lifetime best cash of $792,180. He also came seventh in the $100k Super High Roller a few days earlier. In August this year, he finished third in the EPT Barcelona Super High Roller for €473,200 and is currently eighth in the Russia all time money list with more than $2.6m live tournament winnings to his name.

Seat 5: Brett Angell, 31, Middlesborough, UK, 5,190,000
The chip leader going in to the UKIPT London final table is 30-year-old Brett Angell from Middlesborough who has come close to a UKIPT title in the past. At UKIPT Nottingham in Season 2, he was runner-up Gareth Walker and his £80,000 payday from that event is still his biggest live cash to date. Brett’s interest in poker was first piqued by watching his brother play online and the IT professional saw a way to use his mathematical skills to his advantage - he hasn't looked back since. He plays recreationally while still working full time in IT.

Seat 6: Fabrizio Fuchs, 26, Zurich, Switzerland, PokerStars Qualifier, 1,240,000
Fabrizio Fuchs has been playing poker for around eight years with deepstack Texas Hold’em cash games his favourite format. This is only the third big live tourney but he plays a lot online – using his winnings to support himself while he studies law at University.  “I don’t feel the pressure in poker because my focus is on studying and making a normal career, but (making the final) is a huge bonus.”

Seat 7: Caicai Huang, 29, UK, 1,960,000
Huang left Beijing six years ago and currently runs her own company placing Chinese students into university and college courses in the UK. She got into the game of poker when she was on a night out in a London casino, and saw the game being played. It looked like something she wanted to know more about and she sat down. The rest, as they say, is history, Huang’s biggest cash to date is a second place at GUKPT Luton for £42,750 back in October 2013.

Seat 8: Mark James, 39, Guisborough, UK, PokerStars Player, 2,300,000
Mark James is a recreational player from the Yorkshire town of Guisborough. With three businesses to run, and two children, the 39-year-old doesn’t have much time to play poker but tries to compete in live events a few times a month. He’s been playing UKIPT for the last 2.5 years and this is his second cash. If he finishes fourth or better, it will be his best live result so far. His previous record was winning a €300 tournament in Nottingham for £25,616. His total live winnings amount to more than $144,000 – not bad for someone just playing for fun!

EPT Main Event Final Table

Seat 1: Jonathan Bensadoun, 38, France - 2,340,000
Jonathan Bensadoun is a relative newcomer to the EPT circuit. He has no live cashes of note before 2013, but those he does have are pretty impressive - sixth place in the £2k Six Max side event at last season’s EPT London, and fourth place in the €5k Turbo at last season’s EPT Grand Final for €17,500.

Seat 2: Jake Cody, 26, UK - Team PokerStars Pro - 2,156,000
Team PokerStars Pro Jake Cody boasts lifetime live tournament winnings of more than $3m. His biggest result to date is still the €847,000 EPT Deauville victory which propelled him into the spotlight back in Season 6. Cody then went on to win WPT London in May the same year and a WSOP bracelet the following summer (the $25k Heads-Up Championship) to give him the coveted Triple Crown. He finished fifth at the EPT9 Grand Final and also has a string of great online results including winning the $2,100 NL SCOOP title in 2011 for $234,738.

Seat 3: Kevin MacPhee, 34, USA - PokerStars qualifier - 2,430,000
With almost $3 million in live tournament cashes, poker powerhouse Kevin MacPhee needs no introduction. He has been a permanent fixture on the EPT circuit since winning the first EPT Berlin in Season 6 for a cool €1 million. His other achievements have included several WSOP final tables, eighth place at EPT8 Sanremo, bubbling the final table at EPT7 Prague and winning the EPT8 Deauville Six Max High Roller event. He won his seat to EPT London in a £320 NLHE Deep Hyper-Turbo qualifier at the end of September.

Seat 4: Artur Koren, 26, Germany - PokerStars qualifier - 2,420,000
A German national currently residing in Vienna, Austria, Artur Koren is a regular on the EPT circuit and the possessor of some excellent results, including a €38,590 score for winning the €2k Six Max at EPT Vienna and third place for €56,850 in the €1k side event at EPT Barcelona. He has over $350,000 in lifetime live tournament cashes. He won his seat on PokerStars.fr.

Seat 5: Kevin Killeen, 24, Ireland - 2,470,000
Kevin Killeen was catapulted to European poker fame when he took down UKIPT Dublin earlier this year for €87,700. He had previously mostly played online as a mid to high stakes tournament specialist – among his biggest cashes was $33,000 in the Sunday Second Chance on PokerStars. Killeen is mostly resident in Dublin, although he spent some time in Mexico following his UKIPT win and hopes to return there in the near future.

Seat 6: Pablo Gordillo, 21, Spain - PokerStars player - 975,000
Spanish player Pablo Gordillo is best known for his fourth place finish at EPT Vienna where he picked up a hefty €262,150. More recently the young player has been making a bit of a splash online - one glorious night on PokerStars, he managed to win no fewer than three tournaments. He also came third in a €200 NL side event at Estrellas Madrid in January for € 2,421, and cashed for €12,000 in a Sunday Especial on PokerStars.es.

Seat 7: Sebastian Pauli, 25, Germany - PokerStars player - 6,130,000
The 25-year-old from Dortmund won the €1k  NL Turbo Bounty at EPT Barcelona in August for €39,905. Pauli, who also finished fourth in the $2,500 Razz event at the World Series last year, has more than $230k in lifetime tournament winnings.

Seat 8: Jakub Mroczek, 23, Poland - live satellite winner - 1,325,000
23-year-old Polish player Mroczek is an EPT regular whose best result to date was winning a €1k side event at EPT Barcelona last season. He also won a €200 turbo event at this season’s EPT Sanremo and finished second in a €200 rebuy event at the same festival. Mroczek won his seat to EPT London in a live satellite, and was the chip leader going into Day 4.

EPT Main Event Final Table

Seat 1: Ji Zhang, 35, Karlsruhe, Germany - 6,480,000
Zhang works as an IT engineer and only plays poker as a hobby. He mainly plays cash games at Casino Baden-Baden. This is only his second EPT – he also played EPT9 Berlin. He bought in to the event on site.

Seat 2: Kiryl “angrymoron“ Radzivonau, 28, Gomel, Belarus - 3,420,000
IT graduate Kiryl Radzivonau worked as programmer for two years before becoming a professional poker player. He started playing in 2008 in low-limit Limit Hold’em cash games but now mainly plays MTTs.  He is now ranked #5 in the Belarus all time money list, with more than $800,000 in lifetime tournament winnings. In June 2012, he beat a 5,776-strong field to take down the Sunday Million for $166,076. His best live result was winning the Russian Poker Tour event in Kyiv for €75,000 but has notched up most of his live cashes in Kyrenia in Cyprus. EPT11 Barcelona is his second EPT; he also played EPT Vienna last season. He is married with a five-year-old daughter.

Seat 3: Slaven “suarez_BG“ Popov, 39, Varna, Bulgaria - 3,720,000
With nine players left in this 100th EPT stop, Popov almost went out on the final table bubble, having lost close to half his chips when Bram Haenraets cracked his Kings with 8-7 of diamonds, before hitting a lucky double-up of his own with his Ace-Jack beating Andrey Shatilov’s Kings. Popov has been playing poker for around ten years and is now a professional ranked #9 in the Bulgaria all time money list. He has been a Supernova on PokerStars two years running. He plays both live and online especially MTTs and has a string of good results. Online, his big cashes include winning a 2012 SCOOP $1,050 event for $560,019 and fifth in a $2,100 SCOOP earlier this year for $108,158. He started playing EPTs in Season 10 – in Barcelona, London and Prague. Popov is a popular figure in Bulgaria’s poker community and writes lots of blogs, including articles for PokerNews. His best live result was 7th in a deepstack event at the Venetian in Las Vegas two years ago for $62,554.  His best EPT result was runner-up to Juan Maceiras in the EPT9 Barcelona Win the Button for €21,380.  He also made the final of the 2012 Eureka Bulgaria Main Event for €17,300.

Seat 4: Andre Lettau, 27, Germany - PokerStars player - 5,405,00
Andre Lettau is well-known in the German poker community under the username Dönig and is an online coach. He rarely plays live – this is his first EPT – but has a string of online results including winning the 20142 SCOOP-18-M: $215 6-Max, Turbo, Super-Knockout NL event for $65,062. He is currently living in Vienna.

Seat 5: Hossein Ensan, 50, Munster, Germany - 10,295,000
Ensan has already had notable success here in Barcelona by taking down the EPT’s first ever event for Seniors. He turned 50 in May so was eligible to compete in the €200 event and beat an 85-strong field for the €4,535 first prize. His good forture continued when he won his €5,300 seat to the Main Event in a live satellite, one of 63 players to qualify onsite – a PokerStars record for a super satellite.  Originally from Iran, Ensan moved to Germany when he was 25 and now lives in Münster. His home casino is Dortmund-Hohensyburg where the EPT was held in Seasons 3, 4 and 5. Ensan started playing NL ten years ago, but still considers himself an amateur. He started playing live tournaments in 2013 but only plays major events if he wins his seat. He has substantial success in smaller buy-in events including two €300 side event finals during EPT9 Berlin. His dream is to compete at the WSOP in Vegas.

Seat 6: Andrea Dato, 35, Rome, Italy - 2,825,000
Italian pro Andrea Dato has been playing EPTs for years but his best ever live result came in March when he won WPT Venice for €104,822. This took his lifetime tournament winnings to over the $1 million mark. Dato, currently #15 in the Italy all time money list, cashed in four WSOP events during the summer and also went deep in the record-breaking €1,100 Estrellas Barcelona Main Event, finishing 52nd for €6,357 from a 2,560-strong field.  His best EPT result before now was fourth place in the FPS High Roller during EPT Deauville for €51,500.

Seat 7: Andrey Shatilov, 28, Nizhny Novgorod, Russia - 3,675,000
In 2013, SuperNova Elite Andrey Shatilov bought in to the PCA for 750,000 FPPs and made the final – finishing sixth for $325,000. For EPT11 Barcelona, he tucked in to his FPP treasure trove yet again and bought in for 425,000 FPPs – and stands to make at least €121,300 at the final. Shatilov first started playing in 2008  - mainly heads-up and shorthanded $1 SNGs. While studying Mechanics and Mathematics at university, he worked as a programmer and then as a specialty engineer-designer before quitting to play poker fulltime.  He now specialises in online turbo and hyperturbo 6-max SNGs at $200 to $1k limits on PokerStars and has been a Supernova Elite for several years. He started playing live tourneys in 2010 and now has nearly $1 million lifetime tournament winnings to his name, putting him at #27 in the Russia all time money list. His best live result was He was also third in the EPT9 Grand Final €5k for €151,710.  He was also 14th in last season’s EPT Barcelona High Roller tourney for € 26,450.

Seat 8: Samuel “buckguy 2200” Phillips, 25, USA – currently living in Playa del Carmen, Mexico – PokerStars qualifier - 9,035,000
Sam Phillips is originally from America, but is one of many professional American poker players exiled to Mexico although he’s currently on an extended trip to Europe to play poker and is living in Prague. He’s a Supernova on PokerStars, has won over $3,000,000 in online tournaments and has a number of major results to his name. He chopped the WCOOP Challenge Sunday Warm-up in December 2013 for $170,000, has two WCCOP final tables to his name earning $48,000 and $35,000 respectively and has also finished second in the PokerStars Sunday 500, pocketing $65,000. This is by far the biggest live cash of his career though as his current best was a 499th place finish in the 2011 WSOP Main Event worth $23,876.
