Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I earn EPT points?
- EPT points will be given to any player who cashes at an EPT event (Main Event or side events) with a buy-in of USD$1,000 or higher. EPT points will be awarded according to the following tables:
EPT Main Events point structure
1st place 100 2nd 70 3rd 60 4th 50 5th 45 6th 40 7th 35 8th 30 9th-16th 20 Top third of remaining cash finishers 15 Middle third of remaining cash finishers 10 Bottom third of remaining cash finishers 5 EPT Side Events point structure
1st place 50 2nd 35 3rd 30 4th 25 5th 23 6th 20 7th 18 8th 15 9th-16th 10 Top third of remaining cash finishers 8 Middle third of remaining cash finishers 5 Bottom third of remaining cash finishers 3 - I have played and won/cashed at an event with a bigger buy-in and more entrants. Do I get more EPT points for that?
- EPT points will be given according to your finishing position only and the same point structure will be used for events with different buy-ins and fields. As an example, the winner of any EPT High Roller event will get the same 50 points as the winner of any $1k side event.
- How can I see my ranking position for the EPT Awards?
- Players can view the EPT Awards rankings on the Awards page of the EPT site or by clicking here. These rankings will be updated after each EPT event.
- I have played and cashed in a $1k PLH/PLO event. (Pot Limit Holdem and Pot Limit Omaha). Do I get double points for both Player of the Year (POY) and Omaha rankings?
- Points earned while playing PLH/PLO events will count towards the Mixed Games ranking and the POY total.
- Do I have to play only NL Holdem events to enter the EPT Player of the Year (POY) ranking?
- No, the Player of the Year ranking is a sum of all Holdem, Omaha and Mixed Games rankings so any points earned while playing Omaha or Mixed Games will count towards the respective ranking as well as the POY ranking.
- Suppose I am a citizen of country A, but live in country B. Which country will I be listed as and towards which country will my EPT points count?
- Players will be listed in the EPT Awards Rankings according to the nationality on their passport. When nationality cannot be confirmed, players will not be listed in any country and their points will not count towards the country total.
- How do I vote for the Player’s Choice Award and the Best Achievement Award?
- All players who have played a main event in EPT Season 7 will be invited to vote online for that season’s Awards. Voting will be open for a week from the last day of EPT San Remo.
- If the voting process is done before the Grand Final, will events at the Grand Final count towards the rankings?
- Players’ Choice and Best Performance awards will be voted after EPT San Remo so performances at the EPT Grand Final will not affect those winners. However, EPT points will be still given at Grand Final events and they will count towards the statistical rankings (Player of the Year, Omaha Player of the Year, Mixed Games Player of the Year, Best Online Qualifier and Best Country awards). The rankings will be updated with the Grand Final results daily before the Award Ceremony.
