License Information
Third-party Promotion of the European Poker Tour
Effective immediately (August 8, 2008), no third-party, including but not limited to online poker operators and with the exception of live poker rooms and casinos, is allowed to host tournaments which offer a free-buy in to one of the events as a prize ("satellite tournaments") unless it has applied to EPTL and obtained from it a non-exclusive license (the "Licence"). All and any licenses to use the EPT Marks that may have existed prior to the date of this letter are hereby terminated.
In light of the above, if you are neither a live poker room nor a casino, you are required to apply for the License forthwith if you would like to keep conducting Satellite Tournaments. You must stop using the EPT Marks until such License has been granted. If you operate and/or offer Satellite Tournaments in the absence of the License, EPTL will take all necessary actions to protect its rights, including by prohibiting your qualifiers from participating in the Events.
