Season 1 of the European Poker Tour attracted a record-breaking number of players from all across Europe. From the kickoff in Barcelona, to the momentous Grand Final in Monte Carlo, the EPT generated an overall prize pool of nearly €5,000,000. The EPT shocked Europe by selling out three weeks early in Copenhagen, tripling the field of the E-WSOP field in Vienna, and attracting a recording the biggest ever European prize pool in Monte Carlo, a whopping €2,110,000.
