Season 4 reached its climax with the EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo. The EPT is the tour that matters, and the stars of poker were out in force to prove it. Daniel Negreanu, Barry Greenstein, Erick Lindgren, Phil Ivey, Phil Helmuth, Greg Raymer, Gus Hansen and Joe Hachem were amongst the stars that made the journey for the biggest event ever held outside Las Vegas.

With a record 842 players either paying the €10k buy-in or winning their seats online with PokerStars, the prize pool swelled to a staggering €8.4 million. Glen Chorny – a 22-year-old PokerStars qualifier from Canada- took down the €2 million fist prize after scoring an emphatic victory over Hungary’s two-time runner-up Denes Kalo.

It took Chorny just two hands to defeat his opponent, after outlasting a formidable final table featuring Antonio ‘The Magician’ Esfandiari, online phenom Isaac ‘westmenloAA’ Baron and Team PokerStars Pro Luca Pagano, who chalked up an incredible ninth EPT cash.
